I was in the middle of setting up a secondary profile with sync when the browser froze and became unresponsive for a few minutes. I killed the task and reopened the profile, it lacked the theme color I'd chosen and sync was not enabled. When trying to enable sync, I got the error message shown in the screenshot. To be clear, the profile it's asking me to switch to 'is' the profile I'm in. I've tried deleting the profile and the associated files from About:Profiles, but this issue persists.

How can I resolve this so that I can sync this profile?

why did firefox delete most of my shortcuts on my old pc after i synced with my new laptop and how do i get them back. I am a senior of 71 yrs not a computer tech.this just screwed everything up for me!HELP!!

My Firefox sync stopped working after the latest update. Bookmarks are not syncing between my desktop and laptop. I have tried signing out and back in but it still does not work. Any suggestions?

I am trying to sync my Firefox from my old laptop (Windows 10) to a new laptop (Windows 11) Mozilla sends verification code to my email, but my email is so slow that by the time this code arrives it already expired. a) Can verification code be sent to my phone? b) if not, how can I increase the time allowed for imputing the verification code to wait until I receive the code?

After updating Firefox to the latest version, my bookmarks are no longer syncing across devices. I have Firefox installed on Windows 11 and Linux, and the sync was working fine before the update. I opened up Firefox for the first time in a while on this newer laptop, and all of my bookmarks are missing. I recently opened Firefox on my work desktop, and they were all there.

I moved bookmarks from old mac to new mac so I can visit all my websites. However no user names and passwords load on the new mac. I hit sync over and over and nothing happens. Thx in advance for your help.

Hi there, I have been using the Firefox browser for many years and had saved all my login passwords to various sites on it and I never had a problem with it. But this time, after installing Windows and the Firefox browser, when I logged into my account and turned on the sync, it did not bring any of my previous information. When I go to my account management page, it writes my membership date at the bottom of the page as of today (2026), while as I mentioned, I have had an account on the Firefox browser for many years. How is it possible that my previous information does not exist and it recognizes me as a new user and what is the solution?!

I have linux LMSDE7 Mint, Firefox will not sync. I click on the 3 top right corner lines, sign into Mozzilla, the bookmarks have not synced. Then if I go back to the same lines, it has still the "sign in" field, clicking has no reaction. It seems that mozilla is not signing in I have an other linux version, winux, there I have no problems, it syncs ok.

Somehow NordVPN caused my Firefox bookmarks on my macbook to be deleted (Nord has caused more problems than I've had in years). Many of the bookmarks are still on FF on my ipad. I've setup sync on both devices (at least I think so), but when I hit the sync button on my mac, the ipad's bookmarks don't appear on my macbook. On my ipad mozilla account 'everything I'm using and signed into' shows the macbook was active 7 minutes ago, and the 'sign out' box is available, so I must be signed in. Firefox on my iphone is the same. Any suggestions. It's getting to the point where it would be easier to setup new bookmarks.

Please help, it looks like my passwords are not synced anymore on any Mozilla I use. I sue a Mozilla portable at home and a classic desktop on my office. The synchronyzation works for bookmarks, browse history and download history but not a single password is imported on my sessions ! My files are present : see screenshot01 so my passwords are here. Hi, I need help retrieving my Saved passwords, Bookmarks and History. I have recently changed my mobile phone and Laptop. I've logged in on both items. I can't find my password, its clean. I can only see the visited sites that were on my new mobile, but nothing from my old laptop even after login and Sync

I have toolbar bookmarks on PC with windows 11, firefox 155.0 (64-bit). and I have android phone, Samsung S26 Ultra with firefox, logged in with the same user. However, on mobile I could see a synced bookmarks which are removed long back from the desktop. I have tried to clear cache and data and re-login on mobile device firefox, still it shows the old bookmarks which were existing few weeks back. please advise

Firefox deleted my entire browsing history while signed in with syncing on, with no user interaction. This should never happen. What is the point of Firefox sync if it does this?

Recently I had to install a new windows, and I signed in to my Firefox account and found all the data from the previous windows including the open tabs, I could find them from "Tabs from other devices".

But now can't find them any more, although that device name is still there in my account page, under " connected services", please advise.
