Gentile Team Mozilla, vi scrivo per sottoporvi una proposta che ritengo molto importante per migliorare l’accessibilità e l’inclusione digitale: l’implementazione della funzione “sottotitoli in tempo reale” direttamente nel browser Firefox. Questa funzione, già presente in Google Chrome, permette di generare automaticamente sottotitoli per qualsiasi contenuto audio o video riprodotto nel browser, indipendentemente dalla piattaforma o dal servizio di origine. Sarebbe quindi estremamente utile per tutte le persone sorde o con difficoltà uditive, ma anche per chi vive in contesti dove l’audio non è sempre disponibile o utilizzabile. Introdurre i sottotitoli in tempo reale su Firefox rappresenterebbe un passo decisivo verso l’accessibilità universale, garantendo a milioni di utenti la possibilità di fruire dei contenuti online senza barriere. Una funzionalità simile non solo rafforzerebbe la missione di Mozilla per un web aperto e inclusivo, ma darebbe anche un segnale concreto di attenzione alle esigenze reali delle persone. Dear Mozilla Team, I am writing to propose an important feature that would greatly improve accessibility and digital inclusion in Firefox: the implementation of real-time captions directly in the browser. This feature, already available in Google Chrome, automatically generates subtitles for any audio or video content played within the browser, regardless of the platform or service. It would therefore be extremely valuable not only for deaf or hard-of-hearing users, but also for anyone in situations where audio cannot be played or easily understood. Introducing real-time captions in Firefox would represent a major step toward universal accessibility, ensuring that millions of users can enjoy online content without barriers. Firefox has started giving me suggestions via pop ups. Please would someone tell me how to turn off Firefox suggestions?

This is a pet hate of mine. MS suggests games for me to play, and Google suggests that I sign in with a Google account. Now Firefox is suggesting things. Noooo!

I found it at the bottom of three lines> settings. Uncheck: Recommend extensions as you browse Learn more Recommend features as you browse Learn more

This may be a new feature. There are no Google hits for the suggestion wording "keep your email in your taskbar" so I take the liberty of posting this here.

After a re-start, my Firefox browser on a Dell laptop lost all history and has since also not been collecting websites visited. When opening a new tab, the shortcuts and recently visited websites are also gone and no longer being collected. My CCleaner recently updated itself to a new version but I unchecked the delete history for Firefox (which treacherously is clicked by default - I fell into that trap before). Happy to blame the new CCleaner but that would not explain why history is not being collected now - to me the fault seems to lie with Firefox instead. Another possibility that went through my mind: Is Microsoft sabotaging users of Windows 11 to force them to buy new? PS: Under "Privacy", "History", the setting is "Firefox will remember history", as it always has been and should be. But it has forgotten all previous history and it is no longer collecting any new history either!

Google Drive today stopped loading properly. I keep getting the rotating circle or "working" in the lower left corner of the browser window. I can get it to load fine in Safari and Chrome.

Docs and sheets I already had open, I seem to be able to interact with and edit normally. But navigating the main file path in Google drive, opening folders, and opening files isn't working.

I would really prefer to not switch browsers, as my entire workflow is set up on Firefox.

After an update on F***fox meant I could not access my emails or radio programmes, etc, etc, I reverted F***fox and refused to update it daily. Now it has updated itself and I have lost all my bookmarks, hundreds of them. WTH have you criminals done?

I have Privacy & Security set to Strict with Cookies and Site Data deleted when the browser is closed with only 3 sites in the exclusion tab. I also use a VPN to assist with masking and for connections to defined systems and as part of that I will randomly set it to different countries 'because I can'.

I was looking at the website for the current Rugby World Cup (https://www.rugbyworldcup.com) but it was showing the wrong times for the matches. A little digging showed it had remembered my location from some point last week when the VPN was active and set to Iceland.

There is nothing I can find in my browser settings to permit this and I would appreciate pointers to check further since one of the reasons I have set the higher level of restrictions in my browser is to stop this kind of activity from websites.

With Firefox 144, there is unasked for/unwanted AI introduced. How do I ensure that all AI is completely disabled in my browser? I found a link describing some settings, but want to confirm this will disable ALL AI in the browser. I don't want it, don't trust the privacy/security holes yet to be found and would prefer it was not included in Firefox to begin with. The list I've found is:

Why not leave Firefox as a security/privacy conscious browser and put out a separate AI browser (FirefoxML?) for those that are not as concerned. How does Mozilla ensure that no information is leaked through AI from sessions for professionals that must protect physician/patient, attorney/client information or other legally confidential information?

Hi, I'm on Debian. In the last day I have intermittent connection problems on many websites which go away after a while. Any ideas? I'm using Quad9 for DNS but I don't know where in the chain something is going wrong

Firefox abruptly factory reset itself after I turned my computer off and back on again. All of my themes, extensions, and bookmarks are gone. My phone, which was connected, is still normal and has my full search history+bookmarks.

I would like to report a browser compatibility issue regarding CSS positioning behavior that differs from Chromium-based browsers.

When an element with `position: sticky` is placed inside a container with `position: fixed`, Firefox treats the sticky element as if it has `position: relative`, effectively breaking the sticky positioning functionality.

• • Expected Behavior:**

The sticky element should maintain its sticky positioning behavior even when nested inside a fixed-positioned container, as it does in Chromium-based browsers.

• • Current Firefox Behavior:**

The sticky element loses its sticky properties and behaves like a relatively positioned element.

• • Use Case:**

This issue particularly affects modal implementations where: - The `body` element receives `position: fixed` to prevent background scrolling - Page elements (such as `.total-section`) should maintain their sticky behavior regardless of changes to the body positioning

• • Browser Comparison:**

- **Chromium browsers (Chrome):** Sticky positioning works correctly in this scenario - **Firefox:** Sticky positioning fails and falls back to relative behavior

• • Request:**

Could you please consider aligning Firefox's behavior with other major browsers? The current inconsistency creates cross-browser compatibility issues and forces developers to implement JavaScript workarounds.

I had a new computer installed. The output from the speakers is almost inaudible in Firefox, but it's better on other browsers. The tech said that it's a Firefox issue, not a speaker issue--she said the speakers are OK.

My network is pretty fast -

• Download Speed - 76.30 mbps
• Upload Speed - 113.13 mbps
• Idle Latency - 61 ms
• Download Latency - 59 ms
• Upload Latency - 18 ms

Even though this is a pretty fast network connection, my websites on firefox take a long time to load, for example youtube takes like 2 seconds to load, and sometimes some elements of the website do not even load. This is a very annoying problem which I would like a solution for.
