Hi there!

Whenever I open Firefox, I receive a notification that suggests I reinstall the browser due to a configuration file error. However, I am still able to use the browser normally and my settings remain intact.

Is there anything I can do to address this notification without reinstalling Firefox? I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions you may have.

...when I open Amazon Prime video nothing works on the page ... it freezes ... cannot close (x out) ... need to force close using CCleaner program. Other open Firefox pages freeze at the same time ... Amazon chat was open in separate page and the chat page froze as well. ...the same with Netflix ...the same with video pages accessed by clicking on link in CNN news items I do not get an error message ... just total freeze.

Neither Malwarebytes nor Norton think it is a virus.

Firefox has been my standard for years, but today an Amazon customer service rep suggested I try Chrome to access the Prime video site. CHROME WORKS. I therefore conclude there is a glitch in Firefox. Note that I clear all cookies after every internet session with the CCleaner program.

Why are my pages freezing? Can you suggest a fix?

I had to deactivate 2FA briefly, and then attempted to use a reactivate it again. I am able to scan a QR, but when I try to enter the OTP codes that show up, I receive the following message "Incorrect two-step authentication code". This has happened with Raivo and Authy (the previous 2FA app). What is causing this?

Tab or sometimes the Firefox process crashes when playing youtube video after a while. The tab / process doesn't crash immediately but will continue playing the video for as long as almost 1hr before crash.

OS: Manjaro Linux Viedo card: Nvidia 3060.

I was having an issue with a website -- went through Firefox process to determine issue. Firefox suggested a refresh. I said yes. Firefox has now deleted all my bookmarks

Every time I open Firefox and go to You Tube my You Tube settings are gone. I hate that so much. How do I fix it? I don't want to redo the settings every time. I have it so all my tabs are still there when I open Firefox. That is perfect, I love that. But my You Tube settings are always cleared. It is so annoying. I never watch You Tube videos on Firefox anymore because of it.

Example: On Ancestry when I attempt to do a search lass pass fills search boxes with my info and even when I delete the info, again will fill the boxes.

I want this to stop!!!!!!

Multiple issues for past few weeks and no contributor has found an answer. Tabs aren't saved on shut-down even though setting say to stay open Desktop icons are greatly enlarged. Another download of Firefox made no changes. Can't download a different browser. Some online sights don't load properly. NO error messages eve appear. This is what I'm aware of. HELP

How can I stop firefox saving the same file twice at all while downloading? I don't know any scenario, where saving a renamed copy makes any sense. But I know scenarios, where this is deeply confusing.

It only works if the downloaded file is not one of the type configured in "Applications" part. Action other than "save file" or "Allways ask" does ignore "Always ask you where to save files" setting.

So, is there any switch "never save renamed copies of the same file"?

Over the years I have changed this setting about 20 times and it keeps going back without asking me. Every time my mouse drops on the floor by accident it closes the window and all the apps running in the browser and Firefox insists! that the setting be off at all times. Is there a way to stop the browser from reverting this setting? I have been using and recommending firefox all my life i am changing this setting for the last time and if i have to do it again I am changing browsers and advising everyone i know to do the same.

Some websites display a dark blue background with very faint and barely visible lettering. Can we set website displays to have simple, black on white backgrounds? Sometimes, you can highlight lettering, but only by hovering over it (if you can even find it) and sliding the cursor across the lettering.

I am unable to copy a Southwest Airlines website that shows a flight booking for BWI-VPS on April 7 at 6:25am-9:30AM with this dark blue background and very faint lettering to display the times of day of the flights. If you look carefully, you can these times faintly, then hover over and slide the cursor across the times, which will be revealed in white. This is very difficult viewing on such an important site.

Maybe this type of display is the way the website was designed, but if there is a FireFox setting to change the site to black lettering on white background, please tell me how to do this.

Hi, Firefox started crashing repeatedly today. I uninstalled it using CleanMyMac and reinstalled it again trusting that my saved account would recover all the saved data, bookmarks, logins, extensions etc. Well...all is lost. Is there a way to recover at least the bookmarks? Or should I prepare myself to say goodbye to years of research:/

Whenever I visit Gmail on my desktop PC using Firefox under Windows 10, I get an annoying pop-up message asking me to 'Switch to the helpful Chrome browser' (see attached image capture). Is there a way to block this? I have tried a few suggestions found on forums but nothing works. uBlockOrigin doesn't help.

Is there any way to hide/disable the "No AutoFill Enabled Databases" tooltip shown on every login form. I don't know why FF needs to show this tooltip everytime I login to a site, when I've got AutoFill disabled.

In my settings all "Logins and Passwords" and "Forms and Autofill" settings are currently disabled as I don't use browsers to save these.

I tried to open one web page where I need a certificate, and Firefox asked for the primary key, so I enter it. However, firefox gives me this message "Firefox wants to use the system keychain"import private key" in your keychain"

Troubleshooting has been done 1. Clear all cookies 2. get the option in help for troubleshooting Mode 3. More troubleshooting information and delete cache 4. Reset the laptop 5. Check the keychain if I have Firefox there, however, I did not find it

Could please help me with that? The issue is not resolved with all the above step

There is a blank bar on top of the tabs bar in full screen. It sits there at all times. This wasn't here a few days ago. Could this be a bug on the latest update of Firefox? I'm using Macbook Air 2017.
