I have been going to the same website using Firefox for a year or two and now when I go there the home page for the site shows up for a few seconds then disappears leaving a white screen. Once when I was backspacing there was a notice saying it had been deleted from it's cache and to reload which I did but nothing happened. I have also been using CCleaner and I have been cleaning the MFT free space for Drive C I've been doing that for a month or so and I'm wondering if that caused the problem? I wouldn't think so if it was the problem it should have happened the first time I used it and it should happen on my other browsers and it hasn't. It's only 2 web sites that I know of that have this problem there may be others but I haven't found them yet. How do I get FF to reload the site in it's cache and keep it there if this is a problem with FF? If this is a problem with CCleaner and the free space scan I'd like to know that. I recently started using Firefox as my main browser after using Chrome for awhile, and I'm now running into trouble playing music on Spotify.

Every time I try to play a song on the browser version of Spotify, it cycles through several quickly without playing anything and eventually displays an error message that says: "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

I've seen others with similar issues (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1431659) but the suggested fixes aren't working for me. My Firefox is up-to-date, I have DRM controlled content enabled, as well as the Widevine Content Decryption Module.

Looking for any suggestions!

I have the latest version of Firefox (124.0.1) that I'm using on macOS (14.4). The problem is that the whole top section of the browser (tab bar, location bar, and bookmarks bar) is dimmed out a lot of the time. Including when the browser has desktop focus. This, as you might imagine, is very annoying.

Don't know what's changed, I haven't done anything to Firefox that would make this happen. Wondering if this is a bug in the latest version that will be fixed, or if I need to pursue this. My plan would be to log out of my Mozilla account on the browser, reset all the settings, then log back into my Mozilla account in the hopes that this is something that won't survive that process; i.e. not saved in my saved settings.

I'm about at the point of stopping use of Firefox, which I really don't want to do, if I can't fix this due to eyestrain from squinting at dimmed tabs, etc. If this is a release-related problem, I can put up with it until it's fixed.

Yesterday I was playing videos on rumble fine. Sat my laptop down, picked it back up after waking up and suddenly no sound on any rumble.com video. Youtube plays video and audio fine. So does X and truth social. In fact, any website plays audio EXCEPT rumble.com. Its not Windows related. Its firefox related. I installed Chrome and rumble.com plays with sound fine. I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled and that didnt fix it. I have rumble installed via WebCatalog an it plays videos and audio fine. I then installed Firefox nightly and never signed in or anything and still rumble isnt playing sound. Its rumble+firefox=no sound. And it appears to be happening to others too on other help forums. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?

Could you kindly advise? WashingtonPost.com does NOT ask to accept cookies even after I deleted all cookies, website data and cache (but in Opera it does ask for cookies), after Firefox automatically deleting cookies and website data after closing Firefox, and after cleaning cookies, website data and cache with Ccleaner — WHY? Which mechanism of Firefox is exploited by WashingtonPost.com? And what should I do? Thank you!

I am setting up a new mac computer (Mac book Air M3 with Sonoma 14.3). I have installed Video Download Helper. The icon appears in the Applications folder and the Dock, but not in the Firefox toolbar. How can I get the icon back? Many thanks.

I have been using Windows 10 with Firefox browser and Google/Gmail for many months. I also have been using Norton 360 and other Norton programs for many years. A few days ago, I updated Norton Utilities Ultimate and after update ran it for standard options. Before that update, I could start Google and still be signed in and start Gmail and still be signed in. Now, whenever I close Gmail or Google, I have to sign in whenever I start Google/Gmail. I tried to get help from Norton (see attached chat printout), but they said it was not a Norton problem and to contact Google. When I researched the problem with Google, it indicated that the problem was related to cookies but did not help correct it. I tried Firefox Help and could not find any useful information. I then changed to Google Chrome browser; that works and I can start and stop Google and Gmail and remain signed in. If I go back to Firefox, I still have to sign in every time I start Google. updated to Version 124.0.1 (64-bit), now adblocker ultimate blocking website ( are you human? not a robot requests). There's no button to confirm.

I can get to log in screen ( Sams' club) but it goes right back to the are you human screen?, 

I can access the website if turn off Adblocker Ultimate. Adblocker appears up to date. When I disable Adblocker there is still a request, but this time a button below to press and hold which takes me to login screen. I can successfully login then. Reporting the issue which began within 5 min of the last Firefox update. I updated 3/23/2024

This is the procedure I followed:

Close firefox

Copy previous.jsonlz4 file to the main level in the profile

It has all the tabs i used to have in it because I made a backup a few days ago

Rename the file to sessionstore.jsonlz4

restart firefox

I get the same single tab I had before i did this

when i go to history tabs, all that is there is the single tab i currently have

The most recent update, has caused my firefox to not work properly. Firstly i noticed that it reset all my extensions and themes and now i have noticed that it has affected some sites i was storing data on, for example, i use a site which keeps a track of all the camos i have achieved for Call of Duty MW3. This has now been reset. These can all be redone, but it is something i shouldn't have to do, with an update, as it has never happened before with a firefox update. The way it has been going, i am sure i will find more errors with firefox. Hopefully something can be done, maybe not in this instance but in future "Improvements", as it is not a good user experience!

I updated FF per regular basis. Now I can't log into Google because my phone is no longer an option. A tablet is an option but it's physically inaccessible. All I did was click update and restart. Nothing unusual about that. My phone can't access Google accounts either. I'm not the most tech savvy and so I have no clues how to remedy this situation.

the Icons code on github in this file are not correct rendered in Firefox. If I use these icons in my terminal they will get rendered in the terminal.

After Ubuntu updated the GPU driver, Firefox stopped rendering and only works when disabling hardware acceleration. See screenshot attached. I'm using ubuntu/ RTX4090 and nvidia-driver-535 (propietary, tested). Attaching the apt upgrade logs that caused this to happen. Firefox is the only application that suffers from this.

Is there any fix happening soon for this?

How do I stop firefox from automatically downloading files from the internet when I click on them - without even asking me if I want to download them in the first place. In "Applications", selecting "Always Ask" in "Choose how firefox handles files etc" does not work. Firefox never asks. If it cannot be disabled, I will have to stop using Firefox.

If I enter "na", the namu.wiki site, which I have never visited, appears as a recommendation. Even though I reset my visit history and settings, that site still appears as a recommendation. Is there a solution?

Firefox has the option to "choose where to save files to" on its options, which I have activated. It works for pretty much every file format/extension EXCEPT PDFs. When I open a PDF on Firefox, it is automatically saved to the downloads folder, overriding my own settings. This is pretty annoying, I wondered if there was a way to choose individually like I do for all my other files.

Since the most recent update, I can no longer run YouTube full screen in the background while I am working with other programs. This morning, when I put YouTube in fullscreen, it creates a second desktop. When I go to open a program, it switches me back to the first desktop.
