My regular profile has deleted all saved history, tabs, bookmarks, etc. This happened before and seems related to having private browings open. and to an update in progress or recent.

Opend a private window. Then noticed regular FF wasn't opened. I opened the usual profile and all saved info is gone. Also, my stuff to be synced is way out of date so can't restore from there (I always had sync up to date). My "backup" can't be opened to restore.

Where do I find yesrterday's info? How do I restore my session, bookmarks, etc?

Last time, I tried to follow directions I found soemwhere but the instruction werent clear at all and had to restore from a disk image.

Why is there stsill the private window deleting regular window?

Within the last week or so, a certain website (libsyn.com) that serves Podcast audio has been doing something strange to their content that causes Firefox difficulty when playing back in-browser. If I try to jog/skip through the audio, certain portions will cause the time to continue advancing, but Firefox will not play any audio back. Here's a sample. Note that if you allow the full URL to be loaded, then load the stream into VLC, VLC is able to play the audio just fine without any issues.

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

I have two monitors, and I usually keep a stream/youtube video open on the second monitor while I browse the internet/play games. I used to do this all the time in OperaGX, but I recently changed to Firefox, and I've noticed that after about 10 minutes, the video or stream stops playing, and I have to manually pause and unpause the stream to get it running again. I have checked online, and I found a fix related to the about:config setting "network.http.throttle.enable" as "false" and the "network.http.throttle.version" as "1", but my firefox already had these settings like this.

I've read and tried the fixes to open the newly updated (deleted and installed 3 times) Mozilla Firefox and nothing is working. I've pressed down alt to open in safe mode and I am unable to get it to open. I've looked for the Facebook plugin to disable it (saw a comment on that) and the plugin folder is empty. Is there a help desk with an actual person that can figure this out?? It is quite alarming to see so many other people with this problem and no real help from Mozilla employees themselves. HELP!!

Foxnews.com causes Firefox 102.0.1 to freeze when scrolling pages with lots of images. Closing and restarting FF does not help. The freeze reoccurs. What does help for awhile is to delete the file places.sqlite. After that FF runs for a few hours until the problem happens again. Is there a setting or other fix for this issue?

AdBlockPlus and uBlock Origin are both installed, but are disabled on www.foxnews.com.

This problem just started recently, where I can't unmount an external USB drive without getting this error message:

The disk "Projects" couldn't be ejected because "Firefox" is using it.

I hate to keep quitting FF just to unmount a USB drive - that means logging in again to various web accounts.

My only extensions running right now are Enhancer for YouTube, Grammarly, and Facebook Container.

What's preventing me from unmounting a USB drive?

I have a problem with signing in to my youtube account('s) it tells me that i dont have access anymore.

I tried some fixes like clearing cache, history, proxy and other things you can try. But it still doesnt work

account is fine i can login on other browsers but i think firefox is the best one out there so used to it.

anyone know a fix that might help?

Been having a problem with downloading for about 2 weeks now.

I am doing a course in Ethical Hacking, and have been told to download an .ova file from the internet. The download is 8.5 GB.

However, it has failed on, now, 8 occasions. The nearest it has come, is it has downloaded 5.1 GB.

Could anybody recommend another tool to download files better and quicker? This course is now almost halfway through and I still have not managed to download the software. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Could it possibly be the case that my anti-virus, Microsoft Defender, is not letting the download through? If so, how could I switch the anti-virus off, please?

On the Facebook desktop, the Firefox push notifications keep switching to off. I cannot see these notifications as a result, as you can see from the image where the information is blank. I have tried everything possible to fix this issue, but it remains. Any help in fixing this issue would be appreciated.

Ok well i went to about config and tired off all the accessibility about the quick help bar and now my question is every time i try to go to google search and click on shopping no matter what item i am searching for I get a pop up at the the bottom i of the page every time i hit on shopping that say error update can not be added to this list or some thing like that. it was ok until the last update o of firefox and since i did that but am not sure why. doe not do it in Chrome just frefox. firefox is getting to the point b where i an thing king of leaving it. My apologies if I am being a numpty, but I have been using Firefox for many years without issue, and recently (possibly after an update, but I cannot be certain), it has started to randomly freeze. I am running Ubuntu 22.04, and Firefox 119.0. I have demonstrated to myself that if I open a web page with links (but not always), and click on the link, I may still scroll up and down the page, but the mouse cursor never seemed to recognise the hotlink, and doesn't jump to it. The links will work on Chromium. I initially tried resetting the browser, thereby losing all my open pages, but that didn't work. That also removed all extensions ("all" two of them) and that didn't work. Firefox is now pretty much unusable. Any help to resolve this would be appreciated, as I cannot find any solutions online, and it seems I am not alone with this issue! Many thanks,

I tried clearing caches under Privacy & Security, but the problem persists.

(Meanwhile, I can visit www.dictionary.com on Safari and Google Chrome.)

I installed Firefox on a new laptop and synced it. The bookmarks all were transfered. But when I log into some websites they do not recognize the password, even when the passwords are correct and still work on my previous computer/Firefox brow’ for ‘Firefox.

i installed updated version of mozilla and after login i lost all the previous data and i also tried it to recover from my last backup but it's not working please help me with that i need my data back

Greetings, I am a 77 year old geezer and I have been using Firefox for probably 25 or 30 years. PROBLEMS: 1) bulk emails sent to my customers are rejected by mostly gmail accounts. 2) Emails sent to me of airline group bookings arrive as pages of code that I cannot read. THESE TWO ISSUES ARE NEW PROBLEMS I HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE -- STARTED ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO 3) How do I move/transfer all of my address books/database to a gmail account?
