Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Grounghog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Yes, I HAVE cleared cache/cookies repeatedly before sessions, to no avail. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> [EDIT:] The on-line modem/router emulator can be accessed at https://support.netcommwireless.com/e.../login.html The default un/pswd is admin/admin. Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

No doubt I had something to do with the (fancy font uppercase in bold) B appearing in my Firefox header line as the first and left-most character (image attached). Anyone know the source for this and how to shut it and anything else it does off? I like many others I have read commenting about unwanted things thru the PC years that have a disdain of things that sneak through uninvited.

The other thing so far as I know had nothing to do with Mozilla or Firefox but I'll mention it in case someone has an idea. A product install by the same name permanently labeled an outboard drive with this label bold text'Roboform2Gobold text. I know how it got there, it was with the install the product by that name, which I uninstalled, and no one from that company would or couldn't tell me how to get rid of the relabeling it had done. Uninstalling the software didn't take it out, and no one in a general forum had any suggestions. I know the traditional approach of adding or changing a label, but change attempts don't affect this reminder of a poor product that I had decided not to keep. They refunded, but did not help with the changeless drive label.

IME toggle not working in youtube chat on Firefox, even in troubleshoot mode. It works in all other applications including Chrome browser yet I prefer using Firefox so hope issue can be solved.

All the theme changers do not work. Are they malfunctioning? Not updated to the current version of Firefox? The themes worked on older versions of Firefox. Can this version be corrected for Firefox? Thank you!

When using Firefox, websites take long to open. However, when I use Chrome for the same sites they open quickly. I have cleared cache and have an updated version of Firefox. No extensions except Adobe, Trend Micro

Today, I have tried to get into my Outlook e-mail. I usually use Firefox to get into it. But I tried, but the system kept giving me the attached error message - internal service error 500. Strange thing about this was, when I tried to get into my e-mail using my phone, it worked. I then used the library computer, and that worked, too. I tried my laptop again, but this time went into the DuckDuckGo browser. It worked with this.

I therefore assume that the Firefox browser may be the problem.

Can anybody suggest a workaround? Have attached a screenshot of the problem, and the error message that I get, Marek Wesolowski

Firefox blocks a web site citing out of date reference. I go to certificate manager to overide, but am told firefox determines site to be legitimate and therefore will not overide. I am totally frustrated and confused!

I only have two emoticons available to use: "like: blue thumbs up" and "love: red heart." There used to be several more available, but they have disappeared. How can they be reinstated?

For quite some time whenever I try to look up an email or name on the Gmail page, (9 black dot array) Googlle Apps/contacts, it's taken me to a broken page with a few email addresses llning the left side of the page. If I use the seach at the top, it just freezes up.

I am able to start an email and type in a few letters of the address and usually it will present some options but the Contact page itself is useless.

Is there a way to reload/write over the contact portion of Gmail LEAVING the contact info intact?

Browser is Firefox.

Tell me how to fix this. I don't go into registries etc.. So, if the fix is at that level, please tell me what it is on a form that I can copy from and give it to whatever tech I can find to hire to fix the problem. Love to add images, but your notice of the crash is set up to make it impossible to copy.

This 404 Not Found message only started happening about 4 weeks ago on my Imac. I can't search anything without getting this message. Very frustrating. and I have to go to Google and have no problems Any ideas? Mozilla/Firefox Program up to date

I absolutely love the new tab groups on Firefox. I am a lawyer and i keep a TON of tabs open at the same time. I might be working on a case, and I can create all the tabs related to that case together, come back to it a day or more later.

I also open up a zillion news articles every day. Some are fun (Fun Articles Group), some are about our declining society (Rule of Law Group), some are about AI (AI Articles To Save), some are Case Law I save for my internal library (Case Law to Save Group).

The problem I am having is that each of the Windows where these various tabs are kept is are not seen by the Tab Names. So, if I go to my pinned Taskbar icons across the bottom of my screen, and toggle across the Firefox icon, the many different labels that pop up are ONLY the tab names.

That is, there is nothing reflecting the Group name to which the tab belongs. I just spent all this time grouping my tabs together in separate windows, and when I want to go quickly to one of those Windows (each Window has a Separate Group Name in my personal system), I cannot tell which one is which.

So, my recommendation is that Mozilla designate in the taskbar prompted tab items which Group each tab belongs to (if it is assigned to a Group). It would make toggling between the tabs sooooooo much easier and efficient.

Additionally, I love that when I assign a new item/tab to a Group, it automatically groups them with the other members/tabs in the Group. However, after a certain point, it gets ridiculous. Perhaps there can be an option where you can separate the Groups into two or more Windows (eg Group named Case Law to Save, if I have 10 different ones open, put the 11th one in a new Window, instead of just adding another tab to the ever-burgeoning Window full of tabs).

Maybe I am the only idiot who has so many tabs open that these issues are a problem. But the mere fact that Mozilla created the organizational tool of Groups suggests to me that I am not the only one who keeps a lot of tabs open at the same time.

I have no idea how to suggest this improvement to them. I am not a coder. I cannot contribute in this way.
