I suppose this is a kind of support question, of sorts, but in my opinion this also has to be treated as a complaint, in a sense.

About one and a half months ago, Firefox became unresponsive, that is, it became awfully slow. I experienced just about every issue with the browser that was mentioned in the following support pages and support issues (posted by others) and I read all of those :

An oddball situation had occurred in which I couldn't for the likes of me go to my librarything.com homepage at each restart of the previous Firefox session, which also causes lagging when the session wants to connect to the other (normally unproblematic) website session tabs, and I also get multiple connection errors + insecure connection notifications for some of these websites. (sometimes refreshing a page does not help, sometimes it does)

I got bored reading all those support pages and trying out the solutions, because nothing seemed to help. In the long run, I decided to de-install the whole browser after backing up bookmarks, speeddial settings, passwords and the whole profile. Simultaneously, I also tested the connectivity to these websites in another browser (Brave) and this did not present me with any problem.

So I did the following :

1) deleted the whole cache and closed the browser 2) uninstalled FF with Revo Uninstaller (which has an option to remove all remnant files / folders/ registry items on the Hard Drive) 3) made sure to remove all cached leftovers from HD by using multiple cleanup tools in succession : 1) Wise Disk Cleaner followed by 2) Bleachbit followed by 3) CCleaner

Went to the mozilla website, downloaded and installed the last version of FF. Next, imported bookmarks, speeddial settings and passwords. Next, reinstalled the Firefox extensions I used before (without any lag until one and a half months ago). I also did NOT copy the stored profile but decided on starting afresh with a new profile.

Everything worked lightning fast and efficiently until a few days ago, when I received an automatic update of Firefox - 151.0.3 - and all of a sudden, the same problems are reoccurring. And again, I can't connect to an unproblematic website like librarything.com, whereas before the update I was able to without any problem !!!

What the hell is going on with these auto-updates ???

I've been having this problem for a wee while when I'm browsing facebook (which works better in Chrome) the site on firefox and as well as messenger is really laggy and I'm wondering if there is a hidden setting that I should change to improve this?

I only have adblock addon installed and I cleaned out the history and browser cookies ect but the problem still remains.

I have been using this wonderful browser since 2012, and it has been my default browser ever since. Recently, I've been facing an issue where I can't upload images, audio files, videos, or any other attachments on WhatsApp Web through this browser. To verify the problem, I tested WhatsApp on a different browser, and everything worked perfectly there.

I would appreciate your advice on how to resolve this issue. Please guide me on what steps I can take to fix the browser and restore normal functionality.

I am using macbook pro latest one, and when I use firefox and scroll down from my wireless Mouse to the bottom of the page, the scroll bar jumps to the top while working, is there a fix for this.

I have followed suggested links in ever variable circles to no avail... innumerable deletes, restarts, reinstalls etc, etc.... but still have NO ACCESS to my Bookmarks toolbar! I've worked way too long over such & would gladly forget my history... but remain unable to access the Bookmarks toolbar

Some times ago Firefox internal VPN button appeared and this function was very useful. But yesterday this button disapppeared. My location is Russia. I want to return this button back.

I have ran into a peculiar problem where special characters from non US keyboard do not work in search. In my case it is ％ for TABS specifically (instead of english %). I wanted to correct the problem by changing 'Keyword' field in 'Search Engine' but it is read-only for browser functions. Is there a workaround or a solution I'm missing? Thanks for your help

I recently installed firefox on my Windows 10 laptop, but i cant pin it to the taskbar via right click (this bug wont go away no matter what i do) and also cant open the start menu (also wont go away). I also tried to pin it directly via the exe, but for some reason, it opens another version of firefox, almost as if it was in another acount was logged in (i only have 1 account in firefox).

I am using Linux mint and have never encountered this problem before. It is not a login or password problem! I can't even open the site to get to that part! Connection timed out. Is there a simple fix like allowing AI enhancements? I found disabling them solved my shut down lag time and load time. I wonder what other sites won't work now.

I can't login to reddit on desktop but I can on mobile.I disabled all the extensions I have, cleared the site data and cache, reloaded the page after each of the aforementioned and am still unable to login. I can login with no issues on mobile and chrome. Every tip I saw said to disable malware bytes guard, but, I do not have that extension. Any idea what could be causing the issues?

I had to reload firefox after getting xpcom error messages, now i can't work out how to restore my passwords,bookmarks etc from my sync profile that i set up months before.

What to use to tool for the 3xtentions and hoped to make my searches more valuable to me and 4ich with better info . Not sure where this info is after adding the extentions 5my firefox or how it works . Please help me understand?
