I can sign into YouTube ok, and the pictures of the video's are ok, but whatever I try to watch I get a green screen and just the video sound? It started happening yesterday. I am getting fed up with YouTube and the issues it has with Firefox. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge to watch videos. I've done the 3 resets it says on the support page, but still have the issue. Firefox just updated to version 120.0 I hadn't used youtube for a while. When I tried to play youtube videos none of them will play, only get a green screen with audio In troubleshooting mode they will play Refreshing firefox does not fix the problem

Possibly there was an auto update of MOZILLA FIREFOX on our DELL LAPTOP (Windows 11). Now, we cannot get a Mozilla window to open - due to error message:

XUL Runner Error: Platform version '118.0.1' is not compatible with minVersion >= 118.0 maxVersion <=118.0

Can someone please help us get back to a previous version of Mozilla Fire. Perhaps it is a Windows error. I have no way of knowing. Please help me. My email is: [removed email from public] Thank you.

Amazon Prime Videos will not play on Fire Fox. The message says to update Firefox, but my browser is up to date as of today, 10-24-23. Their customer service can provide no answer. This has been an ongoing problem for several months. I have tried their trouble shooting steps of restarting my system, signing out and re-signing in on Amazon and closing and re-opening Firefox. Allow DRM content is checked on my settings. Thanks.

I can no longer view YouTube videos in Firefox browser because they think I have some kind of add blocker installed. I have never installed such a thing and have no idea how to fix what they are demanding I must fix in order to continue with YouTube in the FireFox browser. In the mean time I have to use some other unfamiliar browser just for YouTube. It appears that some kind of incompatibility has evolved in the recent two or three weeks between Firefox and YouTube.

I am running Firefox v 120.0 (64bit) on Windows 10 Pro version 22H2 OS build 19045.3570 and today Firefox has stopped playing the video track on youtube videos or any video that is embedded in a page. Audio works but the screen just shows a blank field of green. The progress bar will show frames from the video. IF I run Firefox in trouble shooting mode the videos play as normal with video and audio tracks.

I have already refreshed fire fox and uninstalled and reinstalled it but the video track is still a blank field of green in both full screen and small screen modes.

Anyone have any ideas on what configuration setting may be causing this? Thanks in advance, Brocky

Majority of the songs do not play and I'm given with a pop-up, "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

I will play a song from a playlist and is given that pop-up, it will continue skipping to the next song until it plays, but only for 9-10 seconds until the song mutes, to specify, the dot (when hovered on the progress bar) will still move, indicating that "it's playing".

Some clarifications: 1. I use Spotify Desktop app (windows), Spotify App (android), and Spotify Webplayer on Chrome and Firefox. Everything works just as fine on all of these, except for Spotify Webplayer on Firefox. 2. Skipping to a later timestamp does not unmute the song. 2. I have Spotify Premium 3. I have no VPN 4. I am running Firefox with an ad blocker 5. I am running Chrome with an ad blocker (same ad blocker in Fifefox) 6. I am running Firefox to the latest version (Firefox 119.0.1 (20231106151204))

What I've done so far: 1. Cleared caches and data. 2. Updated my Windows to the latest update available - Win10 v.22H2 3. Signed-out of Spotify for all my devices, then logging-in first on Spotify Desktop (this automatically redirects to Firefox webplayer) 4. Ran Firefox on "Troubleshoot Mode" 5. Un-checked and re-checked "Play DRM content" setting. 6. Disabled and re-enabled the plug-in "Widevine Content Decryption Module by Google Inc". (this plug-in is last udpated on November 17, 4.10.2710.0

So I have a video playing on firefox, but the moment it drops from the foreground, it immediately pauses the video (the actual video playback). The audio continues, but the video stops until it is back in the foreground, at which point the video continues where it ought to. I have tried disabling the unload tabs in the config menu as well as disable the foreground pausing or whatever its called, as recommended by previous posts. I used to not have this issue at all, so I'm not sure what changed. Please help! Thank you.

Firefox cannot play IMDB video. It shows: This video file cannot be played error code 224002 Youtube and other video contents are working fine but IMDB. Chrome and other browsers are playing IMDB video without any issue. Why Firefox does not? Is there anyone who knows how could I solve this problem?

Since the last couple updates Firefox is NOT allowing my Password Manager to fill in logins, usually after clearing the cache which I do once a week, at least. Why is that?

Second: Your browser is being managed by your organization. That is not true. There is no organization, there never has been, I'm retired and this is home use desktop running Windows 10 and no one but me has EVER managed Firefox and I've used this browser, though no longer as my default, since it first became available. So why does it think anyone but me controls anything about it?

Playing media volume is low. In-page volume is maxed (eg. YouTube video controls). OS Master volume is maxed.

But the volume of the Firefox in Windows Volume Mixer is a fragment of the volume set. If I adjust it to max, it jumps to a fragment of it. If I adjust it to lower, it gets even lower, like a percentage of what I actually set. The level I actually set gets a grayed out slider button, and the actual slider button slides to this lower level. See the screenshot in the attachment.

It may sound like an OS issue, but as I understand, this is the output level set by the application (Firefox, in this case). Rebooting the OS doesn't help.

MS Edge and Google get me i fine, but I prefer to use Firefox if possible. Can you please suggest a way to prevent the error message.

Hello! For some reason I can't add separate icons for extension quick menus to the address bar area and am only able to add the extensions "master" button which shows a list of extensions without going to the settings page. I've tried to go to customize toolbar to add the extension icons to the bar but none of them show up, and I know for a fact that the extensions have icons, I've added them to the bar on other computers.

Firefox is downloading files directly to my Downloads folder instead of asking despite having turned on every setting that says it should ask first. Under about:preferences I have turned on "Always ask you where to save files" under Downloads, and I have set Applications to "Ask whether to open or save files". I have even gone in to about:config and turned off "browser.download.useDownloadDir", but the files are still going directly to my default folder.

Starting today I am finding it extremely hard to login to some websites. All Firefox does is just sit with a spinning circle after entering a user name and it locks up the browser to a point the I have to go to the Task Manager to stop the FireFox process. I have restarted my computer and refreshed FireFox. I have scanned my computer for malware using Norton 360, Malwarebytes, MSERT, and Windows Defender and all negative. I am having no trouble signing in to a site like https://my.account.sony.com using Edge but using FireFox now is impossible. This needs to be fixed.

I have lots of bookmarks, which I organise into folders and subfolders. In the last month or so, Firefox will no longer save them to the folder I specify from the pull-down menu when saving but just adds them to the general bookmarks menu. To sort my bookmarks, I have to go into Manage Bookmarks and move them manually. What's happened?

I download a file. It stops and speaks of a security risk. The website is https, but the file is http. Is there a location I can pre-approve all files from the url to override the objection? Thanks.

Intermittently (maybe 1/20 times?), when I try to do a Google search from the URL bar I'll get a tab that doesn't load for about 30 seconds. If I search for the exact same thing in another tab it will load instantly, and if I select the url and press enter it will also load instantly. I am seeing this issue both when entering a search and when selecting text and clicking "Search Google for X".

I found a recommendation on a similar issue to set security.tls.enable_0rtt_data = false in about:config but I have seen no change with that setting.

Hey everyone!

I had a quick, and maybe weird, question to ask... is there any way to have two separate bookmark folders that are complete mirrors of each other? For example, if I added a bookmark to one folder, then the other folder would also have the bookmark added to it.

I sure hope the answer is yes! haha. It would really help my bookmark organization OCD! :D
