Hello, I recently purchased and started using the Hyperx Cloud 3 wired headphones. When I watch a YouTube video or shorts with these headphones, if I skip forward a few times or scroll to watch a new short, a loud popping noise occurs in the headphones. I turn the volume up and down, and it fixes it. Interestingly, this doesn't happen in other browsers, only in Firefox. This is very interesting, and I can't figure out why. I wanted to share this with you because I love Firefox.

NOTE: There's no problem with the headphones; they work perfectly. This is an issue only in Firefox.

Hi, I am having this problem where I am watching a video and there is a very annoying white line at the top of the screen, I have already tried the trick to turn off the titlebar but its still there. My version is updated all the way as well, what do I do now?

Hi, thank you for reading this :) Since a week or two I have issues with drops in framerate of videos. It happened first on youtube but since then also on other platforms with other video players.

I've tried troubleshooting mode, fresh install, different network. Nothing helps. Speedtest has me at 160 mbps up and down.

The audio runs smoothly in all this though, it really is just the video that drops.

I use firefox on a Macbook and have this feeling it started to happen when I upgraded to macOS Tahoe.

I was able to stream news from CTV news site but for some unknown reason I cannot stream it like I used too I cannot figure out why! Something must be wrong with my setup. Please help me fix my problem.

Whether a person clicks the fullscreen indicator or types F on the keyboard, the cursor will remain on screen as the video is playing until it is again moved. This also affects video played through the browser on steampowered.com. This issue appeared as of 143 and is still going strong in 144. This seems to be macOS specific as I am not noticing this behaviour on the Windows client. Could be a conflict with Tahoe.. I don't really know at this point.

There used to be a website where you could fire off a 'Firefox made me happy/sad' which is where I would've preferred to send this. So, have other people encountered this issue? And if so, are there any lasting solutions beyond wiggling the mouse?

How do I turn on the video control bar typically located at the bottom center of the screen? It controls features such as speed up video playback, volume boost, expand screen etc. I have in on some of my pc’s but not one one of them.

When switching to full-screen mode in Firefox while watching a video, the cursor won't disappear automatically until you move it. This issue affects all players except the native Firefox player. The bug appeared in version 143 and higher (affects all builds, including stable, Beta, and Nightly). I've tested the issue by rolling back the browser to versions 140 and 142.0.1, and everything works fine. There's a thread about this issue on the Bugzilla forum. macOS versions Tahoe 26.0 and Sequoia 15.7 are currently running. I can't test on other systems.

Only on firefox, the music on apple music keeps changing volume. I can hear it sound fine for a second but then it changes the volume to around half of what its meant to be. I dont see any settings to change it, its fine on other browsers, im genuinely unsure of what to do.

None of the steps worked and the sound is not beeing played (only in Firefox. Outside of firefox the sound works)

I've seen many questions about this matter over the years, and thought I'd been lucky. Every link containing a .m3u file opened in my media player, WACUP. However ... after an update to version 143 it suddenly didn't. .m3u links opened as a text file in the browser window.

We have five windows 10 workstations in the home, and this happened with all of them.

I write webpages for a family intranet, and several thousand tracks are available for playing, so that was messed up too.

These are the steps I followed - unsuccessfully:

• Bulleted list item Checked file association settings in Windows 10. .m3u was associated to WACUP, my media player.
• Bulleted list item Checked file actions in Firefox. .m3u files set to open in WACUP.
• Bulleted list item Added the type="audio/mpgurl" in the anchor link for webpages I make.
• Bulleted list item Changed the default download panel in FF settings to "Ask". I could then get it to ask me to save or open. "Open" worked, as it this is tied to the system default audio player - nothing to do with FF.
• Bulleted list item A few other frustrating, but eventually inconsequential solutions that were in the realm of "I wonder if ...?"

So ... after all of this and a lot of investigation I noticed something interesting: All my playlists were in the format with just a listing of the filename, which as mentioned had been working for years:

Example "01 Queen - We Are The Champions.mp3".

Yet a playlist made in VLC had a different format: example,

"#EXTM3U

1. EXTINF:-1,01 The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda.mp3

01 The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda.mp3 "

SOLUTION

Having far too much time on my hands, I experimented with this, dissecting the various components of the playlist, and eventually found when adding "#EXTM3U" as the first line in the playlist, Firefox opened the playlist in WACUP once again when the link was clicked.

New playlist entry:

1. EXTM3U

01 Queen - We Are The Champions.mp3 02 ... 03 ... etc.

I've left the "type='audio/mpegurl" declaration in the link.

I don't know why this happened, but I hope somebody finds this useful in the future.

So now I have several thousand playlists to edit, although Notepad++ will make this easier, but by no means quick.
