'Gmail continues to require 2-step verification when I sign into one of my gmail accounts. I cannot seem to turn this off, even though I've turned off 2-Step verification on my Google account. Is Firefox part of this situation?

So i've lost access to my email on. my old mozilla accounts and upon logging in on a new device im being asked for a code to the email which i don't have access to anymore is there a way that my info can be synced to a new one. Thanks

I have a fingerprint scanner and a slot for a security key, but I have never used a security key, either in the slot or a USB plugin.

When I try to go to Gmail, I enter my gmail address, and then Firefox pops up a screen wanting me to insert my security key, and there are no buttons to change how I verify my identity.

I've hunted all around for what setting in Firefox is causing it, but no luck so far. Ideas?

When trying to log into my work Microsoft Office 365 account on Firefox, a QR Code is supposed to appear, which I scan with my phone and the MSFT Authenticator app logs me in. This doesn't happen in Firefox but instead says, "Touch your security key to continue with login.microsoft.com. I am not using a security key and they are not allowed by my work. This works fine on Chrome based browsers.

Is there some setting that will fix this or is this a bug with Firefox?

I recovered my account using a backup code and set a new password. Two-step authentication is enabled but I don’t have the linked TOTP app. The settings UI does not allow disabling 2FA and does not offer backup code input. I still have unused 10-character backup recovery codes. Please advise.

Hello, I have tried everything...filters, added contact, blocked senders but I'm still not receiving any email from Firefox. I need my verification numbers to continue to sign into my account. thanks in advance for helping, Scott

I was trying to sign in to siriusxm.com. A box came up that said "Please insert your security key", with a diagram that looks like a flash drive. It said the request came from FireFox Mozilla Corp.

Is this one flashdrive key that will work for everything Firefox Mozilla Corp wants to guard, or it is something required by SiriusXM? I've never heard of it, but have seen it pop up for two or three things in the last week. I don't know how to satisfy the requirement. I looked though the topics on FireFox help page, and nothing mentions it that I can find.

For several months now I am not longer able to use Firefox when signing into sites (Bank of America, ID me) that authenticate using a security device. I have refreshed firefox and turned off enhanced tracking protection for those sites - but no change. When I long in and get to the authentication stage I immediately get an error before using the device; then later when I refresh and use the device Firefox freezes and is unresponsive. It does not show "unresponsive" in Force Quit - but the only way to do anything is to quit firefox. I'm running Sonoma 14, the latest version of Firefox. This is a major problem - I'm using Firefox for security and now I have to go to another browser each time I want to securely sign in to a site.

I received an email saying that someone had signed into my account. I want to secure my account and don't know how? I'm also not sure the email is real and isn't a scam and don't want to click on any email links...

I am having trouble setting up Two-step authentication.

After I scan the QR code and enter the code, I am presented with below error: Incorrect two-step authentication code

I first tried scanning the QR code using Microsoft Authenticator app, which did not work. I then tried scanning a new QR codeGoogle Authenticator app, which did not work. I then tried to manually enter the secret key into Google Authenticator app, which also did not work. I then tried scanning another new QR code with the Twilio Authy Authenticator app, which also did not work.

Can anyone help to resolve?

Hello, I am 70, it is not possible for me to go to my gmail and get a code and retrieve where I have to write the code in 5 minutes. If you have a solution, please tell me how to do that. Otherwise, I will give up.

How do i set fire fox to know and sent verification that this computer is the one i have log in to the site before i keep having to verifier it is me every time i log in to the site

How do i stop having to type in 6 letters when signing in now. This is new and I'd like to stop it for EVERY time I open Firefox. Once a week would be fine! Thanks
