Good afternoon, I restarted my windows computer because it was buggy and right before reinstalling I synced the Firefox account so that whenever I reinstalled Firefox in the PC once more I could have all my bookmarks.

Now while setting up, I find out none were synced? It doesn't appear and obviously I don't have access to the "old" browser to manually download the html file. This was weird because last time I downloaded Firefox in another device and logged into my account it automatically synced and configured everything as it was.

Please advice if there's any way to restore my bookmarks at least because I need them for work.

You jerks deleted passwords and bookmarks I needed for work just because I reset my password to login. Why in gods name would you think that's a good idea? Why would I ever use your sync function if you're gonna delete my data the moment you get the chance?

Unfortunately, during the process, I had to reset my Firefox account password because I had forgotten the original one. At the time, I did not fully realize that this would result in the loss of my synced data. I later learned that this action may have removed access to my previous settings. I checked my backup files, including the Application Support folder, but I was unable to find the necessary data to restore my bookmarks. I am certain that synchronization was enabled on my previous device, but after logging into my account on the new laptop, none of my bookmarks were restored. This situation is quite urgent for me, and I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. Is there any possibility that my bookmarks could still be recovered? My primary PC died about a month ago, and the SSD is fried. I had it synced to both my phone and a secondary one, so no problem accessing things. I bought a new one online, and it just arrived. Then, when I tried opening all my tabs on my new PC, I found that they were no longer available, on either that one, or my other devices. This is new, because I had already recovered a few individual tabs to my phone previously, but I hadn't thought to open all 50-100 of them then since I was waiting on a new primary laptop. The device still shows up among the connected services on my account, but it doesn't show the tabs anywhere I could find, and since the SSD doesn't work I can't go into the files and manually port them over. Is there a way to solve this?

I've been trying to get this computer to work. The last time a clean install was done a few days ago Firefox immediately remembered my favorites, extensions (or one important one of them) and the configuration of the browser.

Being a weird person, I always saved my sites on my firefox browser and for my own reasons, hadn't bookmarked them and always kept them open on tabs to pick up and read at a later date, and as a result, racked up a lot of different tabs that were all very dear to me. However due to a catastrophic hardware failure a few hours ago I lost everything on my local files, including my backups of all the firefox tabs. I was hoping that if there was a remote possiblility that if the sync was able to record tabs, that it would also save all tab information from previous browser sessions.

win10 last FireFox, how migrate all open tabs from one computer to another I cant find clear instruction or video, all they are old and mention about menu part which my vercion does not have.

I was signed out from my Firefox-Account on my PC for no apparent reason. I reset my Firefox Sync Password today and when I checked my saved passwords they were empty. In my profile folder there is a logins.json.corrupt file which probably contains all my saved passwords. How can I recover them and why doesn't Firefox sync them back like it's supposed to?

My impression is that everytime Firefox updates I loose my passwords and bookmarks. This happens on my windows and Linux computers. I believe that I'm not signed in to Firefox but not sure. Would not being logged in cause this problem?

Hello, Today I performed a factory reset on my laptop (Windows 11). Before i did that, I checked if my Firefox account has synced all it's data, bookmarks, history etc. was checked and I pressed "sync" button. Then performed all of the actions connected with factory reset of a windows including partition removal. After that installed Firefox, logged in, but had to reset my password because it wasn't saved within my Bitwarden. Then synced and it turned out, that there is no saved bookmarks on my account. Is there a way to return my bookmarks?

My personal toolbar and all my bookmarks were saved to my account at [email removed]@u-bordeaux.fr, and today at 11 a.m. I lost everything. I can't seem to recover these bookmarks; I think there was a synchronization issue. Can you help me recover what was lost? Best regards, Jonathan

I thought that synchronization would save my data so that I could prepare my PC for reinstalling Windows. As a result, after all the procedures and installing the Browser, synchronization does not restore my data. It's very disappointing. And the history of old sessions is completely erased.

My computer unexpectedly had to do a factory reset. I had to add Firefox back on to my computer. It was my main default browser. I couldn't remember my password because I had Firefox for so many years. Your system forced me to change my password and now I cannot gain access to my bookmarks/passwords when I sign on. If you tell me that those were lost in the transition, I will be so upset. This was the only reason I was using you and do not understand why syncing is not working or recovering the information. I hope that this can be recovered, if not I have no use for your browser and will switch to a more updated browser in Chrome. I have never had such problems and cannot even remember all the bookmarks I have lost. I will never forget this experience. My hope is it will be because someone there was able to save the day and not because I realized that your company is outdated and clunky like Microsoft. Hoping you can help and completely upset. I am also very confused why my information would not have backed up automatically.

Hi, I'm new to asking the Firefox community a question, but I hope you can give me directions to solve my problem:

I currently have Firefox v. 78.15.0esr on an iMac (early 2008) running OS 10.9.5.

I know that version has been unsupported by Mozilla for a few years, but I still want to keep this computer alive after I install the latest Firefox version to the newer (refurbished) iMac M3 2023 which should come with OS 14 or OS 15.

I hope that downloading the latest Firefox for Mac version off your website should be pretty straightforward, but what I really need help on is how to bring my Profile residing in the Library/Caches/Firefox folder on my older iMac to become my Profile on the latest Firefox version on the newer iMac (while still keeping my older iMac).

Appreciate the help.

Hello, I have a mac os high sierra version 10.13.6. Google meet has stopped working since yesterday. I updated firefox (115.19.0esr). That doesn't work either. Do you have any advice for me? I hope! Thank you so much! Marie Dupuis

I have a Firefox account I use as my default work browser. My organization's latest software updates forced me to re-install the latest version of Firefox. I specifically un-checked the box when installing that suggested clearing my settings and extensions, etc because I wanted to retain the way my profile was configured. When I logged back into my account, ALL of my settings, extensions, and YEARS of bookmarks I need to do my job have been completely wiped, and there seems to be nothing in my account that will allow me to recover them--the profile I've been using for year seems to have been completely reset, with all its history completely wiped.

Is there any possible way I can recover my bookmarks?? I did not create an external backup and realize that makes things harder, but I assumed my profile would retain its history as it was tied to an account I was always logged into.
