My tabs crash all the time. Sometimes it'll go a while without crashing, other times it's literally every two seconds. Particularly if I'm doing anything that doesn't autosave. Thanks. Sometimes it's just whatever tab I'm on (or occasionally I'll click on one I've had open in the background only to discover it crashed at some point, other times (and not infrequently!) it crashes the entire browser. Sometimes when it does that, it also logs me out of everything for no particular reason as a little sadistic cherry on top. The passwords are still saved I'm just logged out of EVERYTHING. A few times, it seemed to have made my bookmarks go away, but force-stopping it and re-entering made them reappear, so they weren't deleted. I don't know what's going on but I'm at my wit's end. The crash reports mostly just say EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_WRITE (I haven't checked every single one individually since there's too many, but the ones I've clicked on all say that as far as I recall). If this keeps up I'm going to have to switch browsers or something because I'm actually losing it.

Tabs will crash over and over again. I can barely look at any given page for longer than a minute or two. What happened?? Firefox was never like this before. It just crashed in the middle of me typing this LMAO. Using Brave in the meantime. This is ridiculous.

Firefox began crashing a few days ago and has crashed during each log in and use today. Most recently trying to download and print documents. I have disabled all extensions, have text file of the Third=Party modules and Submitted Crash Reports.

 2. While i'm watching youtube, doing word processing (.txt) or when i set the PC to 'Sleep' mode,
     my screen either freezes w the display or turns black.  In both cases, my mouse and keyboard
     won't work.  Thus, i have to re-boot to fix.  Even Control-Alternate-Delete won't work to get out

 3.  Request not to keep on showing your pop-up window at top RH corner saying:

      Update Available

      Download the latest ...

     <Download> <Dismiss>

    Hey, either one of those two buttons won't stop blocking my top RH corner of the screen.  It's rediculous.
    Even after i hit <Download>, the same pop-up shows up again n again.  Same w <Dismiss>.

    Just remind me once per week.  And don't crash my PC!!!

4. There is no 'Community' info on this annoying update pop-up problem. Just stop it!

I usually use firefox to download things, and watch videos, however, sometimes, when I change tabs, try to minimise firefox, close a pop up, even if I just pause a video, it randomly decides to instead completely freeze and require the app to be completely restarted, and it occasionally decides to roll back my search history.

In fact, Firefox crashed as I was writing this, i'm lucky my progress was saved, these issues have made firefox completely unusable about 70%-80% of the time, and i'm running out of browsers to switch to, opera is run on lies, chrome is just bad, and now firefox is dying.

Just for reference, no other application or web browser that has ever been on my current device has ever acted like this, I'm currently using a decent PC running Windows 10

I've been having this problem recently on Windows 11 with Firefox, where switching my input language to japanese (ALT + SHIFT keys) causes the browser to crash immediately. This happens about half to one third of the times I do it. It didn't happen before and I'm rather confused.

Searching on Google brought up a few similar experiences, such as this one, but the suggested fix (switching intl.tsf.enable to false on the about:config page) didn't work for me.

Hello. I have this problem for almost a year now. There are websites where my Firefox crashes constantly and I can't use it at all for browsing them. All such websites are mostly online stores where you can buy something by putting it into cart and then proceeding to order page. I can't even scroll through product pages, it crashes in second after opening the webpage. For example, ozon.ru

This happens in Troubleshoot Mode too.

I have notebook no issues, My Desktop however I get tabs crashing with firefox, Apache Open Office but not with Doc files in open office and not with chrome and Edge they run without any issues. My computer is awsome it seems to me this version of firefox is either being pushed out or its not coping with large loads. I removed all of my 32gb ram tonight just to test the ram my ram is fine. I keep having an issue on my desktop of every new tab I open crashing. I can access the homepage, but if I put anything into the search bar, the screen goes to "Gah. Your tab just crashed. We can help! Choose Restore This Tab to reload the page." And when I try to restore the page, it brings me back to that screen again. I couldn't even access Mozilla Support on my desktop to report this, I am on this site through my phone.

I wasn't sure what to select for the type of question so you can move it if you think another type would be better. I would have selected crashes but that isn't an option.

It happened again a few minutes ago while watching Star Trek First Contact. The Phoenix was about to go to warp and Firefox CTD with no crash reporter and when I looked in about:crashes there was no crash report. This exact situation happened twice while watching the movie Signal unknown or whatever the title is.

The x appears in the tab, and when I click on it, the program disappears. I bring it back up and it repeats. Have tried closing the program, restarting the computer, using the Close Tab from the File menu, CTRL-W, yelling at it loudly, but nothing has worked. I cannot update the iOS in this computer. Firefox is up to date. Several programs I need can only run on Firefox , not Safari, so I need it. I now have so many open tabs that I can't find anything. HELP!
