Firefox is stuck in a loop! After installing the 145 update, it just keeps asking me to sign into with my admin credentials to install "a new helper tool" over and over. After entering my password nothing happens and when I try to relaunch, the FF icon just bounces. ("Force Quit" shows that the application is not responding.) After multiple attempts, I rebooted my laptop, but it didn't help, as I still get the request for installing the helper too. I'm in the midst of multiple project deadlines and this is very frustrating! Thanks in advance for your help.

Chase stopped letting me sign into my account. They assert my laptop IOS browser is not supported. Chase wants me to download Firefox 128, but my “About Firefox” says my browser is up to date @ 115.30Oesr. I am afraid to download the version Chase is offering/demanding. So can you tell me if this is a legitimate app and why doesn’t Firefox offer it to me? My IOS is version 10.14.6

I have over 100 open tabs spread over 4 Mac desktops. I can no longer access ANY of them after upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26 and installing ESET Cyber Security Pro. I've used ESET with Firefox for many years without ANY problems. But now I have to choose between uninstalling ESET and being unprotected in order to use Firefox AT ALL. Every single webpage is blacked out with the message below. ESET support says that Firefox needs to issue an update to fix this problem.

MacBook Pro M4, OS v 26.0.1 Firefox runs fine as administrator. There is an issue with standard users. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox multiple times from the Firefox webpage. When I try to run Firefox as a standard user a screen pops up. Firefox is trying to install a new helper tool - enter admin name and password. After I enter the user name and password the pop up screen disappears. If I click on the Firefox icon the same pop up screen appears again. I can select cancel, however, when I go to the Firefox icon it is bouncing up and down for several minutes. If I click on the Firefox icon again after it stops bouncing the process repeats itself.

One last thing Firefox was running fine until the latest update on 11/02/2025.

How can I resolve this issue?

I have looked over this computer high and low for any profile files in every way recommended on this website. I can't find it, regardless of what I put into terminal or what settings I change. This was a problem before the update to tahoe too.

Firefox told me to update Firefox. I had to get help from Apple support to do so. Now the new version takes forever to load anything. I can't read comments from other people on my Facebook posts. Amazon takes forever to show the products that I am looking for. I saved both versions of Firefox when I updated, so how do I find the previous version to use? It was much better on my computer.

I am using the Firefox browser on my iMac. Suddenly, I am not able to 'sign in' or access pages of common websites. I am getting blank pages or pages with the ever-circling ball when trying to access websites, like homedepot.com, shutterfly.com, etc. I can access them via safari.

I have gone through the Troubleshooting steps, have Uninstalled Firefox and Reinstalled, etc. What is happening with my browser?

Hi, I installed the latest iOS update yesterday and afterwards my firefox was mush. I tried reinstalling it already. The symptoms are as following: - can no longer use my 1password extension - YouTube and LinkedIn doesn't load at all anymore - For my agency tool Moco I can see most of the page but the menu is totally hidden to me...

Yesterday I could access my passwords saved in Firefox, but today there were only two & those were in an open window for passwords. How can I recover my list of passwords, please? I'm using a MacBook Air with an M3 chip, Sequoia 15.3.1 Thanks so much!

I am running an iMac that is about eight years old.This afternoon my Firefox browser was taken over by a "warning" from "MacOS security center" that I should go to THEIR macOS support site to get my system unfrozen. The number they give is 1-877-xxx-xxxx. I cannot get this intruder to go away, even by restarting the computer.

Using iOS on Mac Mini desktop, I get no sound on democracynow.org but on the iPhone the sound works fine. Most other streams/videos have fine sound but not imdb.com on the desktop with iOS but again, fine on the iPhone.

I updated my MAC OS, my Firefox IS up to date. My RING website Log-In no longer works on Firefox, yet is DOES work using Safari, which I never use. Is there a setting on the latest Firefox I can change so I can access my RIng account from my Desktop browser? It DID work last month

Regardless of website Accordion controls don't work / open to show information. These controls work fine in other browsers and work fine on the same sites. Is there a setting I am missing. it also works on other macs I own. Thanks

I need to enlarge the font on the bookmarks toolbar as I have a visual impairment. I can find ideas for the regular toolbar, but not for the bookmarks toolbar...oh, and I am working on a Mac.

I accidentally downloaded a newer version of Firefox on my iMac but it is too old to run it. Now I have no way to download an older version that I use to have. Don’t have any suggestions? Thanks

How should I fix the frozen browser. Firefox updated ok from another user account on this computer, though Firefox has always updated for all accounts on the computer when updated from any of the accounts. The installer tool got caught in a loop to install until it froze the browser on the third retry. What should I do?

My experience with Firefox has been great for more than 15 years. However recently there's been a trend of adding new functionality without asking the user whether they want it or not. Moreover, some things cannot be disabled even if I try hard enough.

It was an unpleasant surprise to discover that "This time, search with" panel was removed without my consent, and is now replaced by an extremely inconvenient button. I firmly believe that this is not how UX design is done, and whoever made that choice needs to reevaluate their decision.

How can I revert this change besides rolling back the browser version?

The setting "browser.urlbar.scotchBonnet.enableOverride" did not help, it reverts to *true* on every restart. I have not been able to find any other settings, and I believe that this is not something that a user should do their research on.

Is there a way to affect this change?

ad blocker on mac laptop does now show up in mozilla firefox extensions or manager, I opened the puzzle icon but only grammerly shows up, I know I have ad blocker because i have websites saying so and i paid for it annually,
