I have no idea how to fix a problem that just emerged in the last hour.

I can't download file attachments sent by email. Yesterday I could. I have been using Mozilla Firefox as my browser for more than 10 years. I tried restarting my computer that didn't help.

When I'm browsing, especially when shopping, say, Amazon, eBay, or Swanson Vitamins or wherever, FF opens a new tab which remains open to the right of the left-most original tab. Of course, when I + a new tab which I want it to stay open, it opens and, again, by itself, FF closes the first tab and the latter takes over the left-most spot. And, in case of eBay, when I click on an item I want to check, it keeps on opening a new tab on the original tab. Placing the cursor on FF icon on task bar displays all the tabs. I never had things like above happen with previous issue FF. Of, course, I don't know since which FF version was stable in the way I wanted. Does anyone know how to set FF to stop taking all these unwanted actions?

Looking for help to try and work out what is happening. Over the last few days, after powering up and browsing the internet everything works fine for a while. Main websites are Facebook, YouTube and continually clicking on bookmarked items. Normally only a few tabs are open at any one time. Then after some time, I open a new tab and get the

Gah. Your Tab Just Crashed message appear on the new tab and can not access any websites after this. The Close Tab, Restore Tab, Restore All Tabs do nothing.

I have to reboot the PC and start again.

I'm using the latest version 126.0.1 (64-bit).

• Tried running in Safe Mode, uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, reverted back to 126.0 (64-bit) and same issue.

• I've cleared the cache and history

• Had Add Blockers, FB Purity and New Tab Override Extensions. Disabled these and still no success.

• I have AVG driver update installed and its telling me all the drivers are up to date.

• The problem seemed to start happening after an AVG update, so I have removed AVG Antivirus

The computer is an ASUS Vivobook Laptop, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1005G1 CPU @ 1.20GHz 1.19 GHz with 8GB ram.

Would this extension be installed in the computer, kind of like the extensions that are loaded from Chrome (i.e., C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\extensions_crx_cache)?

Have been unable to view readers comments for a number of weeks and can figure out how to fix. it is not all the time, like last night were available but not this morning. All other browsers there is no issue including DuckDuckGo. Am using Ublock Origin, but have been using for years with no issue, even when turn off result the same.

EVERY [removed] DAY firefox looses my tabs, historys, extensions/addons, prefferences and settings.... EVERY [removed] DAY!!! why am i wasting hours each day trying to recover basic [removed] ur piece of shit web browser clearly cant retain. even [removed] BING would be better at this point. ive tried everything at this point even down to tab managers but again without the webrowser holding extension info this too is [removed] useless. whats more annoying is it has clearly been an issue for over 8 years with a 10sec google search.... Ive tried reinstalling firefox because i am not able to download anything with this browser. I thought freshly installing firefox would fix the issue and allow me to download but it didnt. I also am tried to download an addon/extension, and that automatically fails to download. How can i fix this?

I tried redownloading Firefox after I saw that i was unable to download any extenstions/add-ons. Anytime i try to download something from the firefox browser, the download fails or gets cancelled. I never changed any settings, how can i fix this?bold text

For months, now, whenever I try to post a comment on a Yahoo! News article, it reads: "Your comment has failed to published." This only happens in Firefox. My "Privacy & Security" settings are set to "Standard," my "History" set to "use custom settings for history" with settings "Remember browsing and download history" and "Clear history when Firefox closes." so cookies and cache get cleared then.

Sometimes this works when starting a new session. But I shouldn't have to start another session and lose all of my logins just to post a comment on a Yahoo News article.

Anyone else having this problem? Is there an easy and permanent fix? What are you settings set at?

I tried installing firefox but microsoft won't let me. an article said to install from firefox website so I tried. How do I install direct from firefox website because still goes to microsoft and won't install. I want firefox browser and microsoft so I can do email and internet at same time. besides all microsoft does when searching internet is stick me with bing. I don't like bing. firefox does better more concrete searching not all over the place. How can I install from firefox website and it does not go to microsoft.

When I open Firefox browser the browser restsets and changes color to pink in the web address line. I have asked this question before. Is there someone technically familar with Firefox that can resolve this issue?

I'm trying to add the Adobe Acrobat extension for some forms since I prefer it over the app, but it does not seem to be available in Firefox's extension add-ons. The instructions I found from Adobe themselves don't seem to account for the most recent version (unclear which version I have, I got it off the microsoft store) and there's a FAQ board saying the extension is only available for versions 73 and older. Is it simply not available for me or am I not looking hard enough? Thanks!

When selecting a file to upload, firefox freezes, when windows file explore pops up to select a file. Looked through a the help articles, but many are older and do not relect on my perticular issue, or they are to technical for me. Need to register a product and must upload a photo and order cop...go figure???

Why is firefox not showing up in my authenticator app???

I saw a previous post that has since been closed suggesting the solution be disabling 2FA authentication - with all due respect to whoever suggested that, I don't think that should be the best solution. I'd like to keep 2FA enabled. I'd just like to know why Firefox doesn't appear in my Google or Microsoft Authenticator apps. I end up having to use recovery codes which makes the process a pain.
