(April 2025) So suddenly, after my most recent FF update, if I have a document open in FF and hit "print" and choose "use system dialog box" (or whatever the exact wording is), Firefox Print opens up instead of my usual system dialog box. Why is this happening, and is there a setting I can change to DEFAULT to the regular SYSTEM PRINT dialog box instead.

I do not like FF Print. It prints one page at a time w/ like a minute pause between pages in a multi page document. And when I need more settings, it opens up the HP dialog box anyway, so wtf is the point? I just want my system dialog box back where all my print settings are in one place.

I've enjoyed Firefox and also prefer it for viewing PDF files, but I'm having a monster problem with printing PDF documents:

• When reading the page on the screen it looks like 01 below
• When I try to print that page, it looks like 02 below
• Printing it legal size makes the problem worse per 03 below
• To get it to print efficiently, I have to put two pages on a sheet per 04 below

So to put it politely, WTF?

How do I clear the offending one half page describing some new pdf function that is covering the right side of the printer control page and cannot be removed. This does not occur in other browsers such as Chrome

As the first screen capture shows (sorry it's in spanish), my PDF documents tend to not print on the full page, but rather only on the top left corner of it, i've already fiddled with the scaling and fit to page, i have cleared the printer settings from mozilla, still the same, ive gone into the about:config menu and changed paper_height, paper_width, shrink_to_fit, and scaling nothing works. The document prints fine on Edge (screenshot 2), no problems with fit, and what's even crazier is that some PDF files work just fine (Screenshot 3). Honestly i have no clue what else to do.

I'm a relatively new adopter of Firefox so please bear with me.

First off let me say that my Brother Printer is working fine. Word documents as well as non-PDF documents print correctly and cleanly from 3rd party applications as well as Firefox. That is until I open up a PDF document and attempt to print it and see: "Printer in an error state." Clearing out the print cue and or restarting the printer, does nothing to resolve this issue.

Digging into my system (Windows 11) everything appears fine, drivers are up-2-date, and all other applications that can use the printer do so without issue. Briefly re-installing Chrome, I'm able to print the PDF without issue. Which strongly suggests that this is an issue native to the Firefox browser. Odds are if I'm seeing this issue, loads of other users are as well.

Hi. When I try to print a PDF in "actual size" it prints about 22% smaller then actual size, I have opened this PDF with MS Edge and printed it Actual Size and it prints Actual size. how do I change the Print scaling in Firefox so I don't need to open the "Dark Matter app" to print my patterns in actual size? I chose download and save as printing to a PDF reproduces this problem. This also happens with just printing to a regular printer. This problem only occurs with FF and NYT Cooking recipes.

I doubt NYT has communicated this problem to you. It would be great to know they had and what steps can be taken to fix it.

Basically, if a recipe is more than one page, the second page has maybe a footer that ends up getting printed on top of recipe information, instead of the footer floating down to the end of text.

I have talked to NYT customer service (useless for this) and sent email that is supposed to be directed to the right people. I have little faith.

i been trying to print on fire fox and is not letting me print i can go to a different browser and i can print. when i go to fire fox to print my printer cuts out. fariskheir@yahoo.com please if you can help please reach out to me at my email. thank you so much

Lately (for several weeks) I have been having trouble printing web pages with bold headings (Not Headers... Headings) in their pages. For example - recipes. The bold text which is usually also a larger font, is either missing completely, or just a series of dots.

It looks just fine in the print preview (I am on a mac, running High Sierra 10.13.6) and the problem exists whether I use the webpage print dialog or my operating system dialog.

I have tried both of my available printers and it happens on both printers, so it isn't a problem with my printers (I thought it might just be my old HP P1505)

I have also tried saving the page as a pdf through my print system dialog - the text problem exists there as well. If I use Safari (I prefer Firefox, but if this is going to continue, then I'll have to go back) everything is fine. (see the attached image - Firefox on the left, Safari on the right)

So there seems to be something in Firefox that has recently stopped allowing these fonts to make their way through from the screen into the print system.

'Running ver 137 and now cannot print to my system default printer. Tried the Troubleshoot fix and same result - defaults to PDF. Is there any entry in about:config to ensure system printer is selected. I have checked all system settings and brother printer is the default.

After the last update all my logins reset and cloudflare doesn't recognize me as human. I have history set to keep, the cookies and data is not selected to delete when the browser is closed but it does and i have passwords set to save. Is there another setting i can try, this is getting annoying and unable to continue schooling.
