Please add an option to disable saving images as webP. This is useless. If this is not going to get addressed in the next update I will, among many others uninstall Firefox and use a different browser.

WebP is a garbage format. Maybe it's not, maybe it's great, but it still is not widely supported yet. So pull your heads out of your *** and fix this sh**.

On Linux platform: While using Firefox browser I have message of '500 error' when I try to login to my account to sync. It doesn't even get me to accounts.firefox.com.

On Reddit and twitter there are more and more reports of this issues.l on Linux.

Any help or advice...?

I need to recover my Mozilla (Firefox) account on my computer after this latter crashed. Unfortunately, apparently I don't have the good password. Probably I used an automatically generated password which I don't remember.

I still have my account connected on my Android smartphone, but I can't access the account details (no way to recover my password or change through this device?!), and I can't export my bookmarks. Also, apparently all my identifiers and passwords were not synced on my smartphone :-( Hence somewhere all my precious information are available, but stupidly enough I can't access it anymore and resetting the password warns me that I might (is it even a certainty or a possibility?) lose everything. It seems that I cannot even produce a revovery key (to reset pwd without losing data as mentioned in the Help pages) as I can't connect on a desktop browser anymore (but well on my Android version). I am lost and just stupidly blocked - this is SO frustrating, I initially thought it would be a good idea to put everything in Mozilla - well...

Is there ANY way to actually recover my account without losing data on my desktop Firefox, given I still have access to the email account associated to the Mozilla account (and to the original emails from the creation of my accounts) and I still have access to my Firefox account on the Android app but this one doesn't seem to allow to do anything interesting in my case??

When I click a link on page, or an app tries to open a tab (eg to print an ebay invoice), it opens and immediately closes the first time, but stays open the second time. It's really annoying.

In troubleshoot mode, it doesn't happen.

I am using FF109.0 and Linux Mint - 001-1.0 fresh install on new HD.

Hi, I am trying to create a new account on a website with standard email, password, and retype password fields. I have checked the Suggest and generate strong passwords box, yet Firefox (v109.0 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) is not suggesting a password. I have tried left clicking and right clicking on both password and retype password fields to no avail. Help?

Internet websites can be rather heavy these days (like mega.nz or reddit, especially with multiple tabs), and they often take all memory (I think this is about RAM, of which my Macbook Air has only 4 GB, while running Kubuntu 22.10). Firefox very often freezes because of this, and my Linux system gets frozen too, completely unresponsive, with reboot as the only solution...

The problem that I want to solve is not the freezing as such, because that is not Firefox' fault, but that of the websites vs my RAM.

But I have noticed that while Firefox freezes along with the system, Opera, for example, when stumbling into the same problem, simply crashes, and the operating system is not affected.

Is there some setting/tweak in Firefox that makes it keep trying to run when out of memory and thus freeze the system instead of just close, like Opera does?

H, I'm using Firefox browser on my HP Chromebook but whenever I try to open my site on it. It is not opening properly like site's layouts does not show properly. What could be reason of it, site's code or browser issue?

I understand that the following is necessary as described in the FAQ. I lost my two-step authentication device, can’t find my backup authentication codes and don’t have a logged-in device. Can I request to delete my Firefox Account?

Is it possible to remove the backup account related to such a locked-out account to allow that account to be associated with the new account created?

Note that the Authy locked account has been abandoned on Firefox for a long time. Not certain if there is a limit time-frame of no account access after which the account may be declared abandoned and may therefore have the backup account unlocked for a new account association to the backup account.

This is what my environment looks like: I am using Firefox (version 109.0) on Ubuntu (version 22.04.1). I installed the 1password extension for Firefox (version 2.5.1). I have allowed the 1Password extension to "Run in Private Windows" (from the Firefox Add-ons Manager).

Description of my issue: In Firefox, there is a Privacy&Security setting that allows you to "Always use private browsing mode". When this setting is enabled, the 1Password extension does not work at all (even if I allowed it to run in private windows). That is, every time I click on the 1Password icon in my browser, an empty browser tab shows up, and nothing more. Instead, if I disable that setting, the extension works correctly.

I followed instructions for adding bookmarks from html file. Got to "import from html" page shows No Items. There does not seem to be a way to select the local html file. I am using ubuntu 22.04.

Hello! I'm a student looking to pursue a mentorship with Mozilla or Firefox, but I haven't been able to figure out who to contact about that, or how. Is there an existing internship/mentorship process with Mozilla? How should I go about seeking this? All answers are appreciated, thank you very much!

I'm looking at the User-Agent strings from MacOS systems running the lastest versions of MacOS 11, 12 or 13. They appear to be reporting they are running MacOS X 10.15.7 Since all versions of MacOS X 10.* are now well past EOL, this causes problems when using this at least do some minimal testing against the system being "supported". Yes, I know it's easy to forge your UA strings, but most people do not, and it at least provides a reasonable base line of what to expect from users.

I use Firefox on Linux, on a wide screen, usually with multiple windows open at the same time.

Specifically, I have a smallish window containing a calendar view. It's annoying that new tabs get created in that small window, because I have to move them manually to another window and resize that. I'd like to be spared the clicks and drags to get that done, or always needing to remember to move the focus to another Firefox window after doing something with the calendar.

Is there a way to accomplish the following: 1. When I've got a Firefox window open that I don't want new tabs in 2. And I open a link from outside Firefox (say, from a mail in Thunderbird or from my IDE) 3. A new tab doesn't get created in the window from 1. 4. Even if that window has the focus. 5. Instead, the URL gets opened in either a new tab in another Firefox window or a new Firefox window

I'm fine with a stable add-on, if that's what it takes to do this.

My Firefox refuses to load MetaCPAN's OpenSearch.xml file, even though I can access it without problems.

So this got me thinking, as Opensearch files are relatively easy to write, is it possible to import my own opensearch.xml into Firefox?

If it's impossible, I'll submit a ticket to bugzil.la.
