So for three days now, my firefox constantly crashes. I would be reading a story online or watching a video on Youtube and then it will suddenly freeze. In videos, it'll still play the sound but the screen will freeze. I can't pause or stop it. Then either Firefox crashes and closes or I have to close it for it to stop. Sometimes, when I try opening it again, it still won't open. I used to have 50 tabs open and never ad this issue. After this, I closed all the open tabs, even deactivated a bunch of extensions, run malware detection, and still the issue continues. I don't know what the problem is. I even followed instructions and deactivated hardware acceleration options in Performance. And I have all AI options turned off too. The app also recently was updated.

As the title states, every time I try to zoom into a page using pinch and zoom with my touch-pad, firefox nightly crashes. However, if I try to zoom in using CTRL+ and CTRL-, it works just fine.

I have tried to disable hardware acceleration but it didnt help.

Firefox has been crashing regularly for a full day now. I have one profile with multiple extensions, and a fresh profile that is meant to test firefox without any. With this new, "clean-slate" profile with none of my extensions installed, I still get repeated crashes. It is getting in the way of my ability to work- it happens even in Troubleshoot mode, even though I could not confirm any hardware issues prior to this.

Will I need to delete the extenstion-filled profile entirely before going forward? Is there an update I need to install, or anything else I should do myself? Should I provide a list of my extensions?

Firefox is shutting down all my active tabs automatically WITHOUT asking me. This is regularly happening and wastes a lot of time. Is it due to installing Updates ? I DON"T want ANY updates and I am fully happy with my current version. If this doesn't go away, I will have to delete this browser and move elsewhere.

My browser started crashing after the latest update, and it still crashes even in Safe Mode. It doesn’t close immediately upon opening; instead, it shuts down suddenly after about one minute or longer. This issue never occurred before and only started appearing after the recent update. I recently swapped to firefox and have had issues with my tabs crashing. There are days where a tab will repeatedly crash, or not at all. It always crashes on 1 tab. I've tried most of the suggested solutions, profiles change, addon troubleshooting, hardware acceleration, updating/reinstalling. Currently on windows 11.

Why is Firefox crashing so often? What changed? Is there something I need to do to prevent his? Once or twice a week or sometimes a day, but It seems to crash when I am just in my Gmail, sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. Is Chrome a better option?

this is the latest crash report. had 19 crashes in about 1 hour. i have noticed when i put stress on my pc IE playing a game the crashes are less. i have 64g ram i9 14900k cpu. disabled all extenstions have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but nothing im doing seems to help.

any help would be great.

Firefox keeps crashing my computer while playing graphics-intensive games, yet with Firefox off they function perfectly. This seems to be still an issue since 2015. It'll be a shame to switch browsers since i been using this since it was called Netscape 2

for years now I have had this issue when browsing. It is so annoying. I have tried all the suggested troubleshooting. I deleted all extensions. This helped for a while, but not for long. Now it's so tedious to browse that I am thinking of getting rid of Firefox. It has just become unusable and no one can seem to fix it. I am using Windows 10 and no extensions. It often happens when I first open a page and while the page is being pulled up.

I usually use firefox to download things, and watch videos, however, sometimes, when I change tabs, try to minimise firefox, close a pop up, even if I just pause a video, it randomly decides to instead completely freeze and require the app to be completely restarted, and it occasionally decides to roll back my search history.

In fact, Firefox crashed as I was writing this, i'm lucky my progress was saved, these issues have made firefox completely unusable about 70%-80% of the time, and i'm running out of browsers to switch to, opera is run on lies, chrome is just bad, and now firefox is dying.

Just for reference, no other application or web browser that has ever been on my current device has ever acted like this, I'm currently using a decent PC running Windows 10

While playing Free Games.org and Free Mahjong also on AOL Mail Firefox crashes after a few moments. I performed security scans and restarted, still crashing.
