Can I permanently turn off InformationUpdate available' which appears each time I open Firefox. I must click Dismiss to close it. The problem is that after each update, many services to which I log every day, state that I am logging from a new device and I must complete a time consuming procedure of adding a new device in many places. And I don’t need most of the updates.

Every time I manually update firefox, it reinstalls the automatic update malware "Mozilla Maintenance Service". I can't stop this malware from being installed with my browser every time I update Firefox. I call it malware because its not wanted, and it behaves like malware by secretly downloading content without my consent and then shutting down my browser when it finishes by blocking access to all new tabs.

I've tried adding policies to stop auto updates, but Mozilla Maintenance Service ignores all policies. I'm going to see if I can contact AVG and explain to them that Mozilla Maintenance Service is malware and see if I can get it classified as such to see if that'll finally get through to someone because I'm sick of this crap constantly being installed and forcing things on me whenever they want and not when I want.

Now after this update, every google search forces open my location service trying to force me to give location rights. This update is even more malware than all the other updates before hand. Firefox is getting extremely dangerous.

Dear Firefox friends, I am rather computer illiterate and use the internet only for emails and purchasing from Amazon. I have avoided installing Firefox updates, as they disable my sound and change language to Albanian, where I live, but don’t speak Albanian. Can you solve this, or will I have to just avoid installing updates? I have no concern for security; anyone can hack into anything they want, but it will do them no good; I don’t have anything that is sensitive, and my bank has everything well secured (and minimal funds anyway). Do you have a permanent solution – I don’t want to fix every update? I know you hate non-nerds like me, but I'm 80, and have neither the time nor inclination to be one!!!! Thanks, and have a great day,

THE ISSUE: When opening Firefox, (Attachment #1 - below) appears. Seems to have nothing to do with any reality . . . as when I check in SETTINGS (Attachment #2 - below). 1. So, who's telling the truth? 2. How do I stop the popup (Attachment #1) from making it's nagging, inaccurate appearance?

Thank you / Nels

Apparently Windows 11 won't upgrade from v23H2 to 24H2 because the very nice cpu (and system) don't support SSE4.2 or PopCnt instructions. While v23H2 won't get updates after November of 2025, I tend to use operating systems WAY beyond no more updates without problems, and only upgrade when browsers no longer update and support some websites, notably banking and credit card sites, for example.

Any way to get at least a rough idea of when/how long Firefox will continue to update on Windows 11 23H2 so I can plan ahead? Usually it's a year or 2 or more after Microsoft stops updating the OS.

Thanks.

Where is the OPTION TO TERMINATE Nightly from constantly asking to install updates? Right now there are 2 options: 1) let it update without permission, or 2) request permission. Who can get anything done with constantly asking to update when it is not appropriate to auto-update?
