Accidentally deleted a file downloaded to the Downloads folder when I intended to hit the Clear Downloads. If not recoverable, suggest moving the Delete away from Clear Downloads or require a confirmation before deleting.

even though i have run several virus scans several times, mozilla firefox popup claims:

system is infected activate you antivirus to delete virus via bmok.check-ti-ver-108-a.com

can't turn off popup. then another popup claims norton payment denied.

When you navigate to a web site which is slow to respond the address bar keeps showing the previous address until the web page loads or a network error occurs. It may take minutes. It happens for instance when clicking a a web search result or when the site itself redirects to another web page.

This Firefox behavior is there for years and I even remember that Internet Explorer had the same behavior during its era.

Is there any particular reason to do that? Because I only see downsides: for instance, you can't copy the URL to check in another program or device.

Somebody might argue that it's because you can press Esc during load and stay on the previous page. I think it would be more convenient to revert the address bar value when this happens.

FireFox 128.0 (64-bit) is back to being a memory hog until everything slows to a crawl. Some releases were better and some are worse. I like FireFox but I am having a hard time getting my work done. Switching between different items slows to a crawl.

Lately I have been having trouble signing into websites, including the website I administer. When trying to put in my user name or password, I get a message saying: Something's gone wrong. Please try again later." I do try later, and the same thing happens. However, I have no trouble signing into these sites on Opera.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have Firefox 129.0 64 bit on 2 laptops, Laptop2023 and Laptop2024. I would like Laptop2024 to match Laptop2023. If possible, would like to copy the Profile, or at least the Bookmarks. The web articles direct me to Help options which do not exist. I do not want to reset anything on the sending laptop.

I have instructions on how to copy bookmarks from years ago, but Firefox has changed so much that they no longer work. How to I copy with the current Firefox version? If possible, email bjedrick@verizon.net.

I've been browsing the web looking for a way to access the browser's current profile name programmatically. I'm writing a little browser extension that should run code conditionally depending on what the current profile is. I'm wondering if there's any way to do this? The closest thing I found was runtime.getBrowserInfo() runtime.getBrowserInfo().

I updated to version 129.0 and Hulu stopped streaming and news video imbedded in news articles will no longer load. I have removed and reinstalled Firefox and cleared all cache. It is affecting my desktop and laptop. Both operating systems are windows 10 64 bit. I made sure the Firefox download was 64 bit. The problem is not the websites as they will load and attempt to load content but it behaves as if it is being blocked. It is not my antivirus because I have turned is off and there is no difference.

I created a Password Generator add-on two days ago. Interestingly, it was approved, but when I added it to my Firefox extensions list, it’s not working. However, it works perfectly fine locally when I use it directly from my files. Could you help me understand what the issue might be? If there was an error or something wrong, why did it get approved?
