For weeks now I have been unable to download pdf files that are either on the web or received as an attachment in an email. I get the message "Original file downloaded. Error:Could not contact server". When I look in the downloads in the top right hand side of firefox it shows the name of the document I tried to download and then "failed". When I look in the Windows Explorer download folder it is empty. I had been blaming "Zonealarm NextGen" but I just used Microsoft Edge and had no difficulty downloading both of the files (one from the web and one that was an attachment) that I could not download yesterday using Firefox. I hope there is a simple solution, as I hate to give up using Firefox. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

I have Firefox Sync enabled in my Firefox browser on a few computers. When I logged in to Firefox Sync initially, it did sync-up my new computer with all of the saved bookmarks and history. I am not sure if any of my logins were saved). When I go to websites and login, I am prompted with the dialog to save my credentials, and I say ok, save. But the logins are not remembered. And in my about:logins page shows "no logins found". I don't care about retrieving any old logins, I just want to be able to save new ones and get the default behavior of saving logins working again.

We can’t connect to the server at secure.adultfriendfinder.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)".

This is the ONLY site, that I have where I encounter this issue. Technical people say that it is not on their end.

I can go to my neighbors computer and immediately gain access.

I have turned off NORD VPN...no success I have turned off Pi Hole...no success I have change search engines...no success...I use DDG on all sites...using Google or Yahoo search engines did not effect the outcome. I have refreshed FF...no success I have deleted and re-installed DDG ad on...no success I have included a screen shot of what I get when denied access.

The only way to gain entrance is to go to the "FORGOT PASSWORD" tab and put in a new password.

The irony of that is, even if I change the PW, and allowed entrance when I log out and want to re-enter I have to change the PW again

Please help me some resolve to this issue...thanks doug

Whenever I use amazon prime to stream video after watching for several seconds the video quality is throttled, this also happens to youtube videos but mainly effects FPS and only when im tabbed out and using my second monitor. I am 100% sure this is not my computer or wifi as both are very good and the problem does not persist when I swap browsers.

I tried to use the subtitles feature today on Netflix but the subtitles were way ahead of the audio. I cleared the cache first - no success, then I cleared all data and then found I couldn't watch any video - Error F7701-1003. I then uninstalled Firefox and downloaded from Mozilla and installed it - no success. I uninstalled it again and rebooted before attempting the installation again. Firefox message loaded on first launch asking if I wanted a fresh experience - I did and clicked the button at the end of the message (at top).

Now I can watch a video on Firefox again but I still have the subtitles sync error. All that clearing of data, and the removal and re-installation did not help. The subtitle text is way ahead of the audio. Can you assist?

Hi there, I am experiencing some issues with logging into some websites, including bank accounts. Mozilla Firefox comes up with secure connection failed even though these are recognized banks. This has happened on a number of occasions recently with different logins. I even switched my online Firefox settings from strict to standard & I am still experiencing these problems! Please could advise what else to do? I do not want to use Google but feel that I may have to download it to be able to access my accounts. Thank you, Howard

I went into setting and made sure spellcheck is enabled and it is, but there are no other options there. I did exactly what it said on your help article and right clicked in the text box on multiple different web pages and there is NO OPTION. It should not be this complicated.

I have enable this setting: Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above

It works without problems in Edge and Chrome

In the past few weeks, I have been dealing with an "epidemic" of new tabs crashing. I use the New Tab extension so that each tab that I open with start with Google. Those tabs often crash. If I select a link on a fire service daily news blast, the tab will start to load the connection, then crash and ask me to report the conditions of the crash. When i select "Retrieve the lost site," it will work about 10% of the time. The rest of the time, I wind up with a blank, white tab. That's it!

Firefox works fine on every site, except G Mail.com G mail.com On G mail the things works well, but when i try to move a e-mail or delete him, Firefox does it, but doesn't return to the primary and G mail site.

The others G mail things works fine on all the other functions, and initiate well on Chrome, Opera and others internet navigators.

PS: It only happens after the last Firefox update.

Two, maybe three updates ago, not sure how many since there seem to have been quite a few the past couple of months, the PDF option in the Print Friendly & PDF extension stopped working. Period. It's still usable for deleting content on a page but when the button to send it to Adobe as a PDF is clicked, a graphic with a large down arrow is shown with a scroll bar that at the end says Download Your PDF. Clicking that brings up a box that says: The page you were looking for doesn't exist.

You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved.

If you are the application owner check the logs for more information

I've removed and reloaded Print Friendly a couple of times in case that was the source of the trouble. No change.

Attempting to attach any file crashes the browser - Version 116.0.2 (64-bit)

Any website. File explorer window doesn't even appear. It just crashes instantly.

Ever since the last update this website after running for a few minutes gets choppy and slow then crashes. I have to restart my computer to clear the problem. Running Windows 10.

I went to about:config and set my privacy.globalprivacycontrol values to all True. Yet, when I go https://globalprivacycontrol.org/, the website states that the GPC signal is not detected. Is any other action required? I am using Firefox v16.0.2 on a Mac computer running Ventura 13.5.

Since the FF update to 116.0.2 (64-bit) I am unable to save images from a very specific part of Ancestry.com. The database is the U.S., School Yearbooks, 1900-2016. All of the other image databases on Ancestry download without issue, and I am able to download the Yearbook images using Edge, so this appears to be a Firefox issue, especially as it began immediately following the most recent update.

The Yearbook images do differ from the others in that you are given an option to download two images as a zip file, or just a single image, but neither option results in the Save As dialogue appearing, and the images do not download anywhere.

This is a very strange issue, but maybe someone familiar with the most recent update could have some insight as to what has been changed that might have this impact.

Windows 11 Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.2134), if that makes any difference.

Hi, I recently changed computers and all my data is gone, no bookmarks, settings, history, nothing. Is there a way to know if firefox made a new account using the same email that i used before? Are firefox settings and bookmarks stored on the account? Please help everything is gone and i have no idea how to fix it.

The latest version installed and is issuing many virus warning messages whenever I start Firefox. It keeps telling me to activate my virus software but it is already running and I have done scans to try to verify my system but all seems well. I have also booted my system from a virus recovery CD (created on a separate system) and scanned my hard disks, again all was clean. I have attached a screenshot of two of the messages for you to see. I have installed Chrome to try and see what is happening but, although it does not issue and messages, it seems to have problems too? Microsoft Edge seems to work OK but I hate it. Please help?
