Every time I start Firefox lately, it keeps prompting me: "You must log in to this network before you can access the Internet." I have no idea what this means and have no problem accessing the Internet in any case. What suddenly started causing this !#@%$ message and how do I turn it off?

when i work in any web page and i try to back to previous page browser disconnect the page and shows loading page error (problem loading page). Is this a browser problem or any network issue , after update this shows multiple times when i try to go to previous page . 'problem that i face ' Server Not Found

I keep getting this message at the top of each site I go to: "You must log in to this network before you can access the Internet" It thinks I'm on a captive portal?? I'm at home on my own internet network. Why am I getting this message?

I'm on a private home network with an internet connection. When I try to use Firefox it displays a message saying "You must log in to this network before you can access the internet".

Many websites, e.g. Amazon, won't load and an 'Open network login page' button is shown. When I click this it takes me to a Mozilla page talking about Captive Portal, but there's nothing about how to stop this happening and access those websites.

Other browsers, e.g. MS Edge, or Brave, have no problem access these websites.

How do I fix this problem?

The server not found response started right after two changes: 1) Firefox last update 2) opening an account with Mozilla. It usually works on second request but occasionally not. Thanks for your help in advance.

While browsing on my desktop , I am unable to open E Shram Card blog. it appears like there is an error in connection , but despite of good connection, cannot open it.

Firefox is my default browser. Today I attempted to access several different sites and I keep getting a message that Firefox can't find the site. My other browsers have no trouble at all. Something went awry with Firefox. Is it beyond my puny actions to resolve? Do I need to reload Firefox somehow? I can't back anything up because I don't have access to it in the cloud. What am I to do?

Hi, since your last update, I can no longer get into my internet provides email on my Windows 11 laptop. It is now saying it's "Not Secure" which of course it is. How can I make it secure? Jenn

Issue Summary: When disconnecting from a corporate Cisco AnyConnect VPN on macOS, Firefox completely loses its internet connection and throws network errors. Other browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) continue working perfectly on the home network. Standard troubleshooting steps—like clearing Firefox's DNS cache, changing proxy settings to "No Proxy", turning off DNS over HTTPS (DoH), and flushing system DNS—do not resolve the issue.

Root Cause: Cisco AnyConnect locks low-level socket configurations and routing rules within the active Firefox user profile (prefs.js). Even after the VPN is disconnected, Firefox remains bound to the dead corporate pipeline, a behavior that standard settings menus cannot override.

Proven Solution: The only way to clear the corrupt VPN socket locks is to completely reset the internal profile architecture:Open Firefox, type about:support into the address bar, and press Enter.Look at the top right of the page and click the "Refresh Firefox..." button. Accept the prompt. Firefox will close, securely back up your bookmarks/passwords, generate a fresh profile, and restart.Internet access will instantly return to normal. (Note: You will just need to reinstall your extensions afterward).

Is there a way to make the URL high lighting of the domain more obvious? I find that most people can barely see the highlighting and I'd like to make it obvious (bolder and red, or highlighted in yellow, for instance.)

I have a secure private network on my CPU. Why does Firefox not allow my secure websites to remember this browser? The website gives me the option "Recognize this browser." I check that box. But it is a vicious cycle. There is such a thing as too much protection. This makes it time consuming to access my accounts, requiring a cell phone and code to access accounts. Please advise.

Why is my location never accurate? It is off by 200–300 kilometers. I am currently in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, but my GPS location shows that I am in Phitsanulok. !?

I asked a question last night about whether or not Firefox had an IP Address. Sounded silly, but I was dealing with an unfamiliar IP. I did eventually find apps that locate IP Addresses. Problem solved . Just want to thank James for taking the time to respond to my question.

Dear Sir/Madam I am unable to reach Jiohotstar website since last three days. The same site is accessible through Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers. I also tried through Firefox browser on a different machine but could not succeed. I have cleared all the cookies and cache as well but it was of no use. Firefox is running with the latest version.
