How do I install Firefox to "Program files" instead of the user's appdata folders ?? (this is for a Windows 10 PC) There doesn't seem to be a prompt from the installation asking where I would like to have it installed. Thank you

I have two Firefox icons on my desktop. It seems that they represent two different downloads. One says the location is C:\Users\robin\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firefox) The other says the location is C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

Can I delete the one location without losing data?

Each time I try to download an update to Firefox, the download promptly fails. This is true whether I try the regular or the extended support release version. The automatic update has been failing for weeks at least, and prompting me to do it manually. I have checked system requirements, I have everything necessary. My MacBook Pro is running 10.15.7 (Catalina) with 4 GB of RAM, 2.5GHz processor. Scads of memory available. The version running currently is very flaky, often takes multiple tries just to launch.

after reboot,my nightly shows only updating screen(small pop-up style one) amd won't actually run.this fixes everytime when i run nightly installer. refreshing&reinstall nightly didn't fixed anything while developer edition just runs fine

After installing FF 131.0.2 last night I am getting frequent AVAST warnings about blocking PUSHCG.COM - URL:BOTNET, FF is identified as the executing program.

I updated to 131.0.2 on a Win11 laptop. Now I am getting hit with frequent crashes involving web activities. I get a popup to submit the crash report but it fails with an "unable to submit report" message. I found a similar report that advised how to access the reports that spoke of a "submitted" folder. I do not find this folder, only multiple "pending" reports. They all contain only 10 bytes.

Each time we open Firefox (ver 128.3.1esr) on our Win Server 2016 & Win 10 machines, we get this error: "Configuration Error: Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system administrator.". Anyone know what could be going on? Everything seems to work correctly. We haven't had any problems, but would like to get to the bottom of this error.

Firefox will not open after downloading your latest update. An error message comes on screen: The file directory is corrupted and unreadable. This is occurring on a windows11 pc. I can open other files thru the microsoft browser. I'd appreciate some help, thanks, Gary

I am using windows 10 and since the last update I noticed a duplicate firefox icon is opening everytime I clicked on the main firefox icon. Attaching a screenshot.

I can't launch Firefox -- has never happened. I just need quick fix - don't have time to learn as I have Dr. appt. to get to! Got error msg.: re whatever update sent today was not compatible with whatever I already have, but I didn't write down the numbers -- they were identical, just new and older version.

What's the recommended way to update the product globally across Windows and Mac? This would include users with various versions installed but I would rather not download each. Is there a single update command that could be run without user intervention?

Windows 11 home computer with Mozilla Firefox version 122.0 from 1/23/2024 cannot be removed even in safe mode. When attempting to remove there are no errors, it just fails to go to next step when select uninstall. This version will result in a pop-up error of 'Couldn't load XPCOM.' A later version of Firefox worked with no issues. When the user accidently selects older version or at random times without user interaction the pop-up error appears.

Have not attempted to edit the registry.

Suggestions for steps to remove so a current version of Firefox can be installed would be appreciated

Whenever a new version of Firefox is installed the number inside the parenthesis increments by one.

I was wondering why this number is there in the first place.

An example would be when you go to a shortcut for firefox, what you see is something like Firefox (x), x being a number. In my case it is 60. Firefox(60).lnk and if I try deleting it, I am then asked if I want to make it Firefox (61).lnk
