Three days ago a window popped up asking me to update Firefox. I did and afterwards my personal bookmarks listing disappeared. I tried rebooting everything. No luck. I went to your website and followed all of your suggestions, but again nothing worked; mainly because I could not find on my computer the info the last step in your suggestions were asking for. (I did get a message several times telling me I was using an old Firefox profile. I tried to investigate, but each time your instructions told me to look for something as the last or next-to-last step, I ended not being able to find it on my computer. Again, I have tried everything. Please help me.

I want to transfer my profile from an old laptop to a new one. i am not comfortable with uploading my passwords to the cloud as i do not understand how this is safe. i made tar.gz file with the entire profile, almost 1gb and put that on the new laptop. edited the profiles.ini and install.ini and expected the profile will load, but firefox simply does not work in that profile. it cannot browse and clicking the menu button in top right does nothing. Please, help. If I share data below that is the working profile, not the one that fails.

Where do I input my recovery Key to get my account back? I recently had to get a new mother board and hard drive on my laptop. In the process, it wiped out my Firefox. I have reinstalled Firefox and have my previous Recovery Key to get my bookmarks passwords but can not locate where to enter the recovery key to do this. All I can seem to find is how to create a recovery key, not where to enter an already existing recovery key. Please help.

Since I upgraded to you, I am having trouble accessing important and medical info. I would like you to put every thing the way it was before. Easy access. You erraced some of my passwords, I want them back. I spend hours trying to find my info. I am 80 yrs old and do not need this aggravation. Thank you Moira

I have been a user of Firefox for many, many years (it is my default browser) and as of today I am extremely upset with you. Once again I go to use my favorite browser and all my bookmarks have been removed. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME SINCE THE NEW YEAR 2026.

I spent a great deal of time putting the bookmarks together that hold all the links to clients and their respective sites, along with all the places I have applied to and was about to apply, and today, again, they have all disappeared.

So, give me a reason to keep using your browser? As of this point, I am going to move to another browser and begin setting up all the bookmarks that I remember ... thanks for what seems to have become a HUGE problem with Firefox and blowing away my bookmarks and making me reset everything.

I have used Firefox when everyone told me to move to another because I believed you were the best at protecting my browsing experience and you didn't disappoint. But these last two times you have removed so much of my time I am at a loss as to why I even bother with you now ... besides, you have removed my Dad's obituary link and I'm not sure I will ever trust you again.

All of my bookmarks; hundreds of them, disappeared from the folders that appear along the top of the task bar and the folders are now empty. I cannot locate a backup file which is supposedly saved automatically and the appearance of a folder on my desktop titled "old Firefox data" doesn't help resolve the situation. I need help recovering these book marks if possible.

After updating firefox I got logged out of firefox, after logging back in no profile data is available. I lost all the saved passwords, setting, browsing history, all of it. I lost access to website's because of it. Tried copying data from 'profiles' folder but it does not work. Never had problem like this ever and I'm considering changing browser for good. It should have never happen, like wtf is this?!

My entire Firefox account has disappeared, bookmarks, passwords, email, history, everything. I shut down my Mac Airbook when I left town Tuesday, powered up when I got home today and when i clicked on my Firefox icon at the bottom of the page, a new, unrecognizable Firefox page appeared asking for a signon rather than my default page, my email. Can you help me recover everything? Lloyd

firefox removed my bookmarks and they had no right to do so. This upsets me big time, and like everything else they have no phone line to cll for support. firefox is a real pice of work.

My computer automatically restarted, and when I reopened Firefox it was updated and my account was logged out. Once I logged in, everything was gone -- bookmarks, history, extensions. The only thing not gone were my saved passwords (so I know I logged back into my same account). I swear I backed everything up after the last snafu, but now I can't find anything. How do I fix this? I had 4+ years of bookmarks saved, plus my article saver extension.

I deleted a profile not knowing it would delete everything I had. How can I undo it? I didn't want Firefox Profiles, it was forced. I deleted it, and everything just got deleted. Can someone please help revert this? Thanks.

While testing the new profiles option with Firefox after loading containers while having Surf-shark VPN on my computer stop accessing websites. The conflict was resolved by reloading surf shark and then while attempting to remove new profiles not being used I deleted the original homepage/profile. Over 10yrs of bookmarks, passwords, and numerous pieces of data have been lost. I need that original Firefox homepage user account for my computer restored.

Due to an internet outage, I got forcibly signed out of my Firefox account. I signed back in, but all my login info and passwords are just gone. I still have my browser history, and I'm even still logged in to some of my accounts, so I know some of my cookies and cache are intact.

depuis le début de la semaine lorsque j'ouvre firefox mes marques pages de ma barre personnelle sont disparu et ne sont pas non plus dans l'historique de récupération. il faut que je "répare firefox" pour qu'ils reviennent. mais le problème revient. parfois plusieurs fois par jour. Je n'ai jamais rencontré ce problème auparavant. J'ai un message de firefox qui m'indique que firefox est ouvert ailleurs. mais je ne sai pas où. merci de bien vouloir m'indiquer ce que je dois faire

The power went out while I was working and when I turned the computer back on, my Firefox account was logged out and I don't know how to get it back , Every time I try to restore the account it gives me the default account. And thanks a lot

Updated and lost everything in my browser and now is complete crap, no bookmarks, and it install google as a search engine that doesn't work. Can you help me rollback to the version that worked just fine? Searched help and didn't find a way to resolve problem.

I have suddenly lost all my firefox data today.. after creating a new browser profile? I never bothered creating profiles and stuff when the update for that came and it seemed like Mozilla never forced me to create named profiles until today when I open it again after booting up and it suddenly asks me to make a profile for the browser and after I did I just saw that I lost everything, I have a firefox account that's sync to my mobile phone but I can't seem to sync it neither, my browsing history, bookmarks, and passwords are all gone and I've even checked the AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox folder for it and even the recycle bin but I can't seem to find a single trace of my data before firefox forced me to create a browsing profile for my computer. Hoping someone has a solution to this.
