When opening a new tab externally, e.g. via `firefox --new-tab <url>` or `xdg-open <url>`, Firefox doesn't raise its window.

If this behavior is abnormal, note that I'm using KDE on Wayland (Ubuntu 22.04) with "Focus stealing prevention" off. If it's normal behavior, is there a way to change it?

All of the sudden I cannot download mp3 files under the "save audio as" . It automatically tries to save it as a htm file. I have never had this issue before. I have downloaded many mp3s with no issues. Am I missing something here? It gives me no option to save it as a mp3, only as a htm

The last 2 or 3 days I cannot access my Pal Pal account through the log in screen using firefox. I am not having any other problems with any other websites. If I try to log in -- it just gets locked up in the processing screen

Firefox keeps logging me out of all of my accounts whenever my computer restarts. I saw other people have this problem and post the solution, which was to use custom settings for history and only clear cache and cookies. I tried that and the problem has still persisted for weeks. Is there any other fix for this problem?

I tried searching in the about:config page but didn't find any parameter that looked like it could help me on that.

URGENT - I was logged into USPTO.gov and suddenly could not log in:

bad request this combination of host and port requires TLS

I have tried FireFox and Google Chrome to https://USPTO.gov with no solution. Thanks, John

Okay so basically for example lets say i want to permanently just for my screen have this image deleted/or hidden whatever how can I do this without using an extension?

Since upgrading to Firefox v100 a few weeks ago I've had incessant problems every time I reboot my laptop.

If I leave Firefox running (i.e. I just hit shutdown and let it sort itself out) then next time I boot up, and I try to open Firefox for it to load my prior session, it spawns a new window and just gets stuck forever. If I close Firefox before shutting down, however, it reloads itself just fine.

This has led to several lost sessions and having to restore using sessionstore, either when laptop has died or I've just shut the laptop down without thinking about it.

I run Kubuntu 20.04.

Suddenly, about two or three weeks ago, it ceased to be possible for me to copy images from websites and paste them into Skype to share.

What is the reason for this?

Is it because Microsoft have somehow blocked this function into Skype?

Does anybody know?

I deleted cookies, and now when I open firefox, it doesn't reload my default email tabs at the top of the screen. I use 3 email accounts. And now when I open firefox, I'm having to log into them every time.

Lately, I've been having problems using Google applications (gmail, maps, search). I'll enter an item in the search bar, hit enter, and nothing happens. Just today, I was using my gmail account and tried to log out but nothing happened. Google not working in Firefox doesn't happen every time, but it does happen at least once a day. This has been happening for a few months now. It does it on both my work and home laptops. Both are using Windows 10. I do not have this issue when using Chrome or Edge. Firefox is up to date. What's the problem.

This problem is a combo of the site and the browser. The problem is that the body text is all jammed to the right side of the screen. I have tried clearing the Firefox cache, and sometimes that works, I have tried restarting in troubleshooting mode, but that does not change anything. Internet Explorer shows the same problem, but the Edge browser does not display the problem. I suspect the site is doing something funky that results in a problem on some pages for some browsers. That's really hard to troubleshoot!

After the recent update, I have not been able to open a new incognito mode window with the Ctrl + Shift + Right-click keyboard shortcut, but I am still able to open a new window with Ctrl + N and new tabs with Ctrl + T. Re-installing the browser does not work nor does the shortcut work with the other Ctrl and Shift buttons on my keyboard. I have tested my keyboard and it does not seem to be the problem as everything functions properly on it.

Lauching Firefox browser onto desktop after starting is VERY slow. No other browser is slow to start. No suggestion about "fix slowness" in Firefox HELP is apparent. How to fix slow launching?

You state that Firefox has no back door which allows you or anyone else to track browser user history or browsing information. But is that really true?

First of all, when a user searches using your browser, the search is conducted through Google. Unless one clicks on the button offered by Google to reject normal choices, and specifically opts out of user data sharing with their company, every trace of the user's search will be mined by Google. You should install an override which automatically precludes this step when searching on your browser, and ensure that there is no such sharing or mining.

Second even your company has admitted that you HAVE opened a back door for the NSA and other government agencies to track user information online. That means your browser is no different than any other one; for anyone who knows how to access and redirect this data can continue to do so, just as they would with any other browser.

While I applaud your effort to minimize data sharing on your browser, your publicity appears to be somewhat of a myth, for it bears little relation to reality .
