I'm not sure what you mean.
Do you have a problem with displaying accented characters (â)?
Does it help if you temporarily disable website fonts and try some different default fonts?
You can do a font test to see if you can identify corrupted font(s).
You can try different default fonts.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
- [ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can use this extension to see which fonts are used for selected text.

Cannot see 'problem solved' button, but PROBLEM SOLVED
I was using FREESANS, which doesn't display the '^' character correctly (does a backspace instead).
