firefox denies access to updating programs such as GARMIN MAP UPDATE. How do I disable this nonsense of not allowing acces to programs that I require? Thank you

When I try to update my maps in GARMIN access is denied to a required site. I cannot acces the update to maps

What is the exact message you are getting?

Does anything appear in the Error Console regarding that website?
orange Firefox button > Web Developer - > Error Console

"Firefox prevented this site (garmin.com) from asking you to install software. " Then there is an "allow" button. O.K. something installs.

Then the message: "Garmin Communicator could not be installed because Firefox could not modify the needed file." So I just went Explorer and did it.

I should not have to do that. This is just nonsense. Thank you for any input Stanley
