how to stop firefox 5 dansk bookmarking every site visited
I installed Firefox for someone in Denmark. A yera later I visited and they have hundreds of bookmarks which I deleted but found that every site I visited was being bookmarked. I removed firefox and then installed firefox 5, but the problem persists. The computer is a Compaq Presario running Vista.

Perhaps you are looking at History and not Bookmarks
If you see them under the Location Bar before you hit Enter then you are looking at AwesomeBar (internal search) those with Stars will be bookmarks, and those with no bookmarking symbol will be history items.
The Library List has History (Ctrl+Shift+H) and Bookmarks(Ctrl+Shift+B) shown from separate category items on the left side.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
