I have firefox (mac osx; ff version 3.6.14) set to "no proxy," yet on certain websites, links automatically take me to a proxy server I've had access to in the past (a former university library), but which I no longer have privileges for. The particular site I'm having trouble with does not require a proxy server/subscription--it's totally public. But I can't access it because I automatically get directed to the library's proxy server login when I try to enter the site. But, again, I can't log into this proxy. Why is firefox remembering this old proxy server? How can I just skip the proxy server login page and go straight to the site in question?
