And, if I switch back to using Microsoft Internet Explorer, I no longer have the problem. I have AdBlock Plus, but it is really not an ad. The images in a series hang or never load. I have run Malware and Virus software. I am connected to a cable. This problem started in the last several weeks. Fine before.

I appreciate the very detailed reply. Please pardon this question, but I am still not sure what to do. Or possibly there is no "fix."? Keep in mind, I have no computer training...translation, 68 year old grandmother who is about to have a nervous breakdown! Thank you for trying to help me.

I too have tried everything: scans of various kinds, blocking 'chartbeat' on my firewall, deleting Firefox extensions, etc etc. I've wasted hours on it, without getting anywhere. It's clear from surfing under various headings that several hundred people have several related problems, all it seems arising only since the introduction of Firefox 7. None of these problems existed before. Meanwhile, I've stopped using it, and have reverted to IE8. **When is Mozilla going to withdraw FF7?**
