I do remember My Fun Web Products installing a while back but as soon as I noticed it I deleted it. None of them are installed.

I went to about:config, he keyword.url and general.useragent.extra.firefox but when I right clicked on both of the the "reset" was shaded and it would not let me choose it. I did reset my home page to the default.

Do I need to log on as an administrator. I have never seen that on FireFox, but I am no expert.

Thanks,

You need to reset the pref general.useragent.override on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Did you follow the instructions that I gave in my original answer to search for any of the items under Step A? It is important to look because these items sometime piggy-back on free programs downloaded from the internet. Most have an opt-out for the "extras", but you must be vigilant when downloading and installing any free product from the internet. Even some free security software come bundled with toolbars and/or search engines, which is a real shame.

Looking where you said, just under 'Firefox' it says 3.6.8 (which I feel dumb because I did not see that, I was going off of the bottom few lines).

The bottom lines say:

"Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.15) Gecko/2009101601 Firefox/3.0.15 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) FBSMTWB

When I tried installing the add-on it said I had version 3.0.15, which it what it looks like above. But under 'Firefox' - version says 3.6.8. I shouldn't be prompted to upgrade if I do have 3.6.8.
