There is a document produced by Mozilla Support entitled Install Firefox on Linux. There are tow commands explicitly for Trixie. They both start with cat <<EOF. The first one didn't work and was obviously incorrect. After much digging I found that wrapping the piece EOF like this 'EOF' works. I did not figure this out, someone else did. I hope that Mozilla Support will update the file.
