I have an Investors.com account and a feature they offer is a stock sector data table that shows recent performance and other information. When I try to open these tables they close immediately, but if I use my tablet with a different browser they will remain open. I believe this is a simple setting that I need to adjust, but I don't know enough to figure it out.

Hi

Do you have any add-ons installed in Firefox?

περισσότερες επιλογές

I tried the quick cookie manager add on a few days ago in hopes of solving the problem, (it did not, as I'm sure you could guess) but other than that, no add ons.

I was fooling around with inspect mode and discovered that if I change the element display from "none" to "contents" the table would be permanently open. I have no idea what I'm doing, it's all greek to me, as they say, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hi there,

Here are some standard troubleshooting steps. Feel free to skip those you have already tried, but others may actually help you resolve the issue. Also, if nothing helps, the last step is reporting.

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?
  5. Finally, if the problem is still not fixed, please check if it persists in other desktop browsers (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Opera or Safari).
    • If it does, it is most likely an issue on the website's side. You may want to inform the website owner or administrator about that.
    • If it doesn't, that's a compatibility issue. Please report it on WebCompat (preferable with your GitHub account), so that our team there may be able to look into it. We'd also appreciate posting a link to your report here.

Looking forward to your update!

Thanks for your reply Denys, I have tried everything you suggested and apparently this is a compatibility issue. I am working on reporting this to WebCompat as you mentioned.

Hi, I am one of the QA members from the webcompat project. Can you please comment on the issue where exactly are these tables located? For me, it seems that a valid digital membership might be needed. Also, I can not locate anywhere on the page the table presented in your screenshot. Thanks

To access the tables in question a membership is required. I could give you my login information for IBD if you would like, there is no sensitive information that I would be concerned about sharing. I was not able to take a screenshot of the tables because I can't get them to stay open long enough to get the picture. Sorry for the delayed response, I've been preoccupied with holiday events. Thanks for your help, -Darin Gardell

It works for me

What I would do usually to test this kind of issue, is:

1. Type `about:profiles` in the url bar. 2. Choose `Create a new profile`. 3. Call it `deleteme` or anything you please. 4. Then start it. (this way you will be sure that nothing is interfering, no ghost caching etc.)- make sure account sync is not performed, as the extensions will be imported in the new profile. 5. Test.

Note: You can return to your old profile at any given time by accessing "about:profiles" in the address bar
