I am definitely not interested in bells and whistles. Just want basic program. The new update ate my current settings and book marks. Did not create a backfile with my profile. Your help process sucks big time. Do you even do beta testing before you send them out?

On the last point, Yes, there is a four week beta test cycle.

It's not normal for Firefox to lose your settings. Did Firefox mention anything unusual during your upgrade, like needing to perform a Tune-up or forcing you to create a new profile.

As a general next step:

Close out of Firefox and do a normal Windows shutdown and restart to complete any pending updates and release any file locks.

Then try the steps in this article: Recover lost or missing Bookmarks.

Can you find a different profile that has your missing data?

If not, does the "Restore" feature show any files you can roll back to: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

same here wtf looks like I will just have to unistall and use a different browser. I liked fire fox

Do you mean after the update you lost your bookmarks and settings?

Did you try the steps in my earlier reply?
