Firefox problem latest Version 370.0.2 (aarch64) on macOS 15.4.1

I am seeing a new problem with the latest Firefox version 370.0.2 (aarch64).

When I try to load a link, Firefox seems to go into a sort of "spasm" with repeated attempts to load the link via multiple new web pages.

The link finally loads, however if the link is a login page I can get login failures due to multiple login attempts (e.g. Microsoft login fails authentication due to multiple attempts.)

Please can you help with this ASAP.

One scenario where you can get repeated opening of new tabs is when Firefox is designated as the program to handle a type of content it doesn't know how to display, such as a Word file or a .mht file from Outlook.
