the new tab page is a disaster. I do not see a gear icon on the page and not not have the time to go thru several steps to get rid of a bunch of I stuff I neither need nor want..help!!

The new tab page is a disaster. No gear obvious and I do not have the time to go thru several steps to get rid of a bunch of I stuff I neither need nor want..help!!
