I have been unable to sign in to google accounts on 3rd party websites for a while now. I'm using firefox develloper edition. i do not have this issue with normal firefox

every time i try to sign in i get redirected to https://support.google.com/accounts/a.../32050?hl=en

Heres some of the things i tried:

  • Clear cache and cookies
  • "repair" Firefox from the uninstaller
  • Reinstall Firefox

To be honest it is quite a bit annoying and i cannot find a solution thanks in advance for any help

We have resolved an issue with Google prompting users to ‘clear cookies and site data’ when logging in. A fix has been published, via Firefox remote settings that does not require a Firefox upgrade. Users will receive the update over the next 6hrs, if you would like to update immediately simply restart Firefox.

Note: The issue was related to CHIPS being enabled in Fx131, this feature has been temporarily disabled while we resolve the issues. Users who have disabled 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' in Privacy & Security settings will need to enable to receive the update.

Give us a link to install this patch, please. For me 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' is greyed out. Even if it was not, it's worded shady af. People come to firefox because they don't want share data and run studies.

Okay, you just need to go [about:config about:config] and disable CHIPS to Google Services to work again.

I am also experiencing this very same issue at the moment after updating my Google Password. My Firefox is fully up to date, so whatever patch Paul mentions does not seem fully functional.

Edited:
