Stop hijacking the new tab and allow users to set and search from their own preferred home page. Why do we need an extension or add-on to fix a simple issue? Just let me pick my own home page and my own tabs. JEESUSS!

FireFox doesn't hijack tabs. You need to check your settings to verify what settings you made to how it opens new tabs.
