Major issues with FF 98.0.1
FF upgraded today and is unusable. FYI, I am using Brave to communicate with you. There is the usual messing up of the location of the download file and my switchboard of favorite sites (this is probably not the proper term) is destroyed. That is normal. Now, however, I had to go into settings to click off the option for the 'default' sites. All of the icons for extensions are gone from the top of the page. When I try to go to a web page, the software never connects.
This is the first time I have had an issue with FF and this is a doozie! Can you assist?

Strangely enough this website is the only website that works for me and even then only the support part and not even mozilla.org opens in firefox 98.0.1...

You have several issues at once. There are several articles relating to troubleshooting. You could consider creating a new profile. You can do that while Firefox is closed. You don't need to add anything to it initially; you can do so if it is free of the problems you have at present. You can recover data from your old profile but you will need to install add-ons.
