I have V94.0.1 64 bit version of Firefox. Let me start with this - I really like Firefox and all that it stands for in terms of privacy. I despise Chrome, MSIE/Edge, and Safari because of the data mining they do.

That said, I am very frustrated with Firefox performance on both my Windows PC and my Apple MacBook. I have several pinned tabs. It takes what feels like FOREVER for the pinned and other tabs to open and fully load from the previous session. In fact, some tabs, pinned or not pinned, take easily 15 -20 minutes before they fully load, if they ever load. I also have several tabs that crash all the time - TitanTV, LinkedIn, IMDB, iCloud, Cozi, YahooMail, etc. There are also times where a tab or page gets so hung that I have to close Firefox and start it again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. I have not found any useful assistance on this support forum or with general web searches.

Can someone PLEASE help me solve this as it is way beyond annoying?

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted/Unsubmitted Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Hi FredMcD -

Thanks for the replies!! Several follow up items • Regarding your 1:26 PM Post

  • "Some of the reports you posted are for the prior Firefox version." --- While that may be, this is not a new issue for me. It has been occurring for the last 6-12 months and therefore has spanned numerous different Firefox releases. I simply got frustrated enough with it today to post in the support forum.
  • I assume the info you posted is from the crash files. Unfortunately, it is not very meaningful to me. Could you tell me what I am supposed to take away from the crash file excerpts you provided?

• Regarding your 1:34 PM Post

  • "Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?" --- It is definately not all websites but also more than a few. TitanTV.com tab that is pinned has been open for over 30 minutes and still has the blue dot going left and right on the tab which to me indicates the page has not fully painted. The blue dot keeps on going left/right even when I click into the tab but the page has painted. Not sure what that means. I would say the most frequent offender is TitanTV but it is hard to say how many or which ones.
  • "Make sure you are not blocking content." --- Best I can tell, I am not blocking content. Is this something that can be confirmed in the crash files?
  • "Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache." --- I have cleared the cache and cookies numerous times in the past as a troubleshooting step but have had no luck with it as a solution.

I look forward to next steps!

...Brett

Another issue that occurs which I have NO idea if it is related is this -- YahooMail will from time to time says the internet connection has been lost and in doing so will not send mail, delete mail, etc. But when I open another tab and navigate to a site I have not been to either ever or in a long time it paints fine. I go to a random site to avoid getting cached content.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Hi FredMcD -

Other than perhaps my bank website, are there any secure sites you recommend I test?

Also, it may be later today before I can run this test but I will run it.

Thanks!!!
