</p><p>Firefox keeps your pinned sites list in a preference named <strong>browser.newtabpage.pinned</strong> in the prefs.js file, which is shown in the about:config page.

<p>Judging by all the gibberish, some images are coded into that preference.
</p><p>I've never tried transplanting the list to a different profile, but even if it's difficult, it would be good to have a backup.
