Still same, I too am having problems on version 85 - it happens only to certain items - just verified 3 times!

I thought this should be kept open ... it has no solution at present, other than use another browser...

Is this Microsoft playing around ... Edge + Chrome - you know Edge Chomatised !

Hi Mozzed, since you found an item that causes a problem could you test whether Firefox works with the site with "plain vanilla" settings:

New Profile Test

This takes about 3 minutes, plus the time to test eBay in a regular (non-private) window.

Inside Firefox, type or paste about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it.

Take a quick glance at the page and make a mental note of which Profile has this notation: This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted. That is your current default profile.

Click the "Create a New Profile" button, then click Next. Assign a name like Feb2021, ignore the option to relocate the profile folder, and click the Finish button.

Firefox will switch your default profile to the new one, so click the Set as Default Profile button for your regular one to avoid an unwanted surprise at your next startup.

Scroll down to Feb2021 and click its Launch profile in new browser button.

Firefox should open a new window that looks like a brand new, uncustomized installation. (Your existing Firefox window(s) should not be affected.) Please ignore any tabs enticing you to connect to a Sync account or to activate extensions found on your system to get a clean test.

Does the eBay-to-PayPal handoff work any better in the new profile?

You probably should log out of eBay when you're finished with the test.

When you are done with the experiment, you can close the extra window without affecting your regular Firefox profile. (Feb2021 will remain available for future testing.)

eBay has lost a lot from me and I only buy once in a while and a couple of weeks ago as eBay offered me £. 5 !

It worked!

... I am trying to make it work on other profile ... I do keep 'DuckDuck Privacy Essential' which seems to be OK, but when added eBay and PayPal various URL, still does not work on other profile - I am guessing they must call for another URL in between URLs - if this makes sense!

Sooner or later I will catch it, 'if' it is to do with an extension ...

Please note: I am no developer, but a very advanced User [in IT and other 'stuff'] ...

Thanks M

Hi again I believe I know what it is exactly!

There are certain sellers - I guess - that set payment to 'choose' PayPal only' - we also know about different susystem they can choose from [on eBay] - of course.

In fact after you click on: 'Pay only this seller' link, PayPal 'sometime' is pre-checked by eBay system and button appears and this one does not work - that I guess is the seller with 'only PayPal accepted and preset.

When I use another seller and it does not preset PayPal, 'I' choose PayPal and then it goes straight to paypal page!

Other times it seems to work differently, after I choose PayPal I get the button on the right and popup- works.

So, it seem confirmed it is related to how seller sets their selling system within ebay and 'when it works, you either get sent on PayPal page as soon as you choose [checkbox] Paypal or you get the PayPal button on rith enabled and 'waiting' for your input.

What a mess!

Latest addition.

Links that work usually are:

https://pay.ebay.co.uk/rxo?action=view&sessionid=(whatever ID here)

The one that do not work are 'specific to the seller - usually larger Companies!

https://pay.ebay.co.uk/rxo?rypsvc=true&pagename=ryp&shoppingcartid=CART_ID_HERE&sellerid=SELLER_NAME_HERE&action=create
