I find myself facing a real dillema, I prefer to use Firefox for most things however, due to the fact that Firefox does not support H.265 and has instead opted to only support AVI video I cannot use it to manage the massive fleet of Security Cameras I manage. I am stuck using IE or Edge both of which are garbage. Along with that Chrome also has decided to only support AVI so that is worthless as well. In our modern era of technology I find it morally repugnant that a company like Firefox would turn their back on their loyal users. Could someone please explain to why Firefox cannot even implement an add-on that would allow use of the built in hardware decoder if supported on your computer like IE/Edge are capable of doing? I just don't understand why Firefox insists on copying Chrome rather than being their own independent company, especially when Chrome has worked their way into almost a monopoly status, and even if Chrome is not a monopoly every other browser now seems to just be a spin off of Chrome. I would imagine that Firefox would want to support as much as possible and not dictate to the world like Google has decided to do. Really starting to lose faith in Firefox's ability to be their own company.
