I'm lucky I had Youtube open in another firefox browser window which still had ALL my Bookmarks. When the browser updated it stated something to the effect that it was not secure to open in the current profile. Would I like to open in a new profile? You pretty much have no choice to start a new profile which starts a whole new profile with no bookmarks, saved passwords etc. I had to export from the old browser to the new one. It should not have done that. It should have just kept the current profile and not force a new one.

You get this warning message if you try to open a Firefox profile with a Firefox version that is older than the Firefox version that last used the profile (i.e. you intend to downgrade). There are workarounds available to bypass this, but it isn't recommended and should be used with a lot of care (i.e. there is a reason for this warning). Better is to create a new profile and transfer valuable data from the old profile to the new profile.
