Hi Tom, I can think of three possible reasons the Backspace key wouldn't trigger the "Back" button on a particular site, but there might be others:

(1) If the cursor is in a form field

Firefox treats Backspace as Backspace when the cursor is in a form field.

(2) If there is no Back button history

This should be easy to check using the Back button drop-down on the toolbar (right-click to view) or testing with the other keyboard shortcut, Alt+LeftArrow.

(3) If the site is intercepting it

Maybe some Outlook users found it annoying and Microsoft is now grabbing Backspace before Firefox responds to it?? (I haven't logged in recently myself.)

Thank you for the possibility list. I finally gave up and rebooted computer. All seems to be working okay now. Maybe something with the upgrade didn't make it through the process??? Tom
