Your best bet would be to go around the corner to the Thunderbird Forum. Those folks are much, much better at TBird than I am.

Thanks for the reply. Hidden files folders etc. is enabled but in the profile I don't see the file and a windows search using name:global-messages-db.sqlite says 'file not found' (same even if I do it from 'computer' and search the whole machine).
Is there a way of forcing a re-index other than re-starting Thunderbird and hoping that it does it automatically?

</p><p>The file that you are looking for, global-messages-db.sqlite, is in a hidden folder.
</p><p>Press Win key+R and type or paste %AppData%\Thunderbird\Profiles
You'll need to set file explorer to Show Hidden Files &amp; Folders. You will then see your profile folder(s).
