Greetings,

I've tried all avenues that normally resolves the issue of unsaved passwords, including cleaning out caches, running in safe mode etc. In fact, I tried two different MacOSX machines, one running running 10.13.8, the other 10.14.1. Nothing works, Firefox does not offer to save credentials. I thought there might be some new HTML trick to disable login saving I'm not aware of but Safari had no problem saving the password. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hello PassoGiau,

Would you please go over this article to see if maybe there is something that you may have overlooked (like Private Browsing) :

Is this with many websites, some, a few?

Warning: There are some web pages that do not allow browsers to record or fill in the log-in information.

But if you go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) you can try a Form Filling add-on. I found that the form-filler add-on I use is not affected.

It appears to be that particular site, since then Firefox saved credentials for two other sites. Thanks for the tip - I used to use a QuickPassword (I think) add-on but it no longer works on new versons of FF

Is QuickPassword still on your system? Try removing it.

Firefox on my Mojave system is vanilla - no extensions at all.

And your system?

Some website used a login form that isn't detected by Firefox as such. On such a website Firefox won't offer to store the password. This can happen if the login is done by submitting a form, but is done via JavaScript (XHR).

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?

Of course - https://www.pepco.com. Seems to be an ASP site

Thanks. The way this form is implemented looks rather complicated as there seems to be a 'form' object that stores a lot of data, so I'm not surprised by Firefox isn't supporting this type of login form and offer to store username and password.

I checked, my Form Filler works.
