I only want search by google.com, but it is always replaced by searchencrypt, no matter how many times I delete searchencrypt in preferences.
I have been to preferences and said I want google.com several times. I've deleted all other search engines, but every time I ask for a search it puts it into searchencrypt, which is worthless. I am frustrated enough to switch to Safari even though I prefer Firefox. Help!

Thank you for sharing your extensions list (next to your question, under Question Details then More System Details). Maybe you didn't re-read it before posting but I think you will find it highly relevant.
You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Command+Shift+a (Windows: Ctrl+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return
In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.
Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions Firefox installs for built-in features are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. What is that "Search-Encrypt" extension doing there? Hmm... please remove.

It sounds like you have malware on your computer. I'd suggest the following steps:
- Download and run a full scan with Malwarebytes (www.malwarebytes.com). Remove anything it finds.
- Refresh Firefox Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
