Firefox 57 sporadically unable to load some websites (Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site). Any new hints ?
Have tried proxy settings, disabling prefetch, clearing browser cookies, etcetera. This issue sporadically asserts.
(Safari loads the websites)

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at www.xyzblahblah.com. If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:
Try again later. Check your network connection. If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

The operating system is Mac OS x 10.10. The equivalent will be tried for this Mac.

Re-installed from scratch, after de-install and blowing away all vestigial data. Have not seen this issue again, yet.
Thx for the suggestion.
Sometimes disabling Site Data brings this about.
