Very often when I select another page of a blog or email name in Gmail, I get a wait message but Firefox won't change to the requested site/page until I either cancel my request or hit the return button to return to the previous page and re-request the new page. This annoyance has been going on for a few months now. When I get annoyed enough I open up Internet Explorer and have no problems then navigating to selected pages/sites.
