Force Firefox to use your GPS location sensor
Hi,
According to the following page https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/geolocation/ (How does it work?), Firefox only uses your nearby wireless access points and your computer’s IP address to calculate your location. I tested this, and it's true. The location fix is not accurate when WiFi is not available. On my Windows 10 tablet, I've got an internet connection via 4G/LTE. So when WiFi is not available. Firefox calculates my location with my ip-address. Which is even more inaccurate. And Firefox doesn't use the GPS fix at all.
But how can I force Firefox to use my "GPS" location sensor in Windows 10? When I open Firefox on an Android or IOS device. Firefox does use my GPS sensor to calculate it's location.
With kind regards,
Quy Le
